does anyone like weekday? Ive bought a few bits before but because I can only buy online and I find that their sizing is very big. I love an oversized fit but it's sooo hard to get the right fit

Same here for other stories! I bought a cardigan from them which is so bobbled now. I just don’t buy from them anymore, their prices are absolutely insane at the moment. . I like arket but again very pricey so just look second hand for them but their sizing is all over the place!

Did you mean Bond St? I went in there for a wee the other day- the loos were plentiful, clean and deserted! It was heaven after a half hour wait for a loo earlier in the day in Selfridges.

Oxford St is very hit and miss these days. Selfridges is fab, and I still love JL, but those fucking money laundering american candy stores can fuck off. I read an article the other day saying that the police can’t get to the bottom of who owns them. Several have been shut down and fake sweets and chocolate bars seized.

Yeh Oxford Street is nothing like it used to be it is basically just grotty now. There are a couple of those sweet shops near me and one has just been closed down so hopefully the police are starting to close in on them

What’s everyone’s recommendations for affordable clothes that aren’t totally awful quality? I had to delete Depop because of so many issues and I’m finding Vinted is going the same way. I’ve even received things with tags that are still somehow torn or stained.

Very keen to hear these! Especially if there's any smaller online brands people would recommend.

I'm coming out of the closet as a bootcut/flare jean lover.... they've always suited me better and i'm so glad they're back and easy to get in shops. plus i find them loads more comfortable than skinny jeans!

If I can find bootcut jeans with an elasticated waist, I’ll be so happy

Yes I'm the same. I ironically bought more clothes and outfits with my EMA/Saturday job money/student loan 15 years ago than I do now with my reasonable disposable income. I have been slowly trying to bring my wardrobe into the 2020s with stuff more suited for my age but have been generally trying to do it more consciously with second hand buys etc. But that takes time and patience.

I do think if you see gen z on social media though they do buy massive "hauls" of Shein, Cider, lots of fast fashion Ali Express-esque brands sadly. I guess they just do it online more?

I was never a Zara fan. Nice clothes but they just never suited my body shape for some reason.

I have never seen any influencer New Look content either!! Lots of other hugh st brands even Matalan lol but never NL!

And omg yes I loved their flats Will we ever get a ballet flat renaissance?! Generation alpha don't do it, you don't want the soggynes x

Same. It was my go to place if I needed something quickly. Like if you knew you needed some work pants or a jacket or a new dress or whatever you would always be able to find SOMETHING you liked, even if it was a little overpriced. I find myself going into Zara and half the time I see loads of nice stuff but the other half I can't find anything I'm looking for and the size mediums always sell out. Plus my local is the manchester exchange zara which is fucking horrendous, its always so busy.

I miss the baller shoes so much, I had so many in different colours over the years

God knows why i still get emails from asos, i haven't boght anything there in years, but EVERY time i get one i cringe myself inside out at the language.......does ANYONE talk like this??!

I literally don’t understand some of this!

I’ve found Threadbare brand to be good quality- nice simple clothes. Also got a leopard print cardigan with pink trim from Yumi recently and that’s really nice. Oliver Bonas stuff is also good.
