There's probably lots that I'll remember after I post this but for now I'll say 3 that I can watch again and again.

1. Pride and Prejudice, the 1995 BBC version
2. Harry Potter, any of them at any time
3. How to lose a guy in 10 days. I drove my H nuts rewatching this 🤣

The dario argento version its got one of the best soundracks (by the goblins) that i've ever heard and is like a psychedelic avant garde gothic horror/fairytale about a coven of witches at a girls boarding school.
Its done with such brooding flair and panache and i never get tired of watching it.

Wide sargasso sea (1993)
A sultry and captivating drama about the first mrs rochester (jane eyre) and her struggle against the constraints of victorian convention.I loved it and karina lombard (whatever happened to her?) is both luminous and provocative in the title role.
It was a film that stayed with me for ages almost haunted me because the question about a womans autonomy is still relevant even now.

The conformist (1970)
A kind of faustian drama about fascist italy in the 1930's with a man recruited as a spy and assassin who is hired to kill his former professer. Its just filmed with such style and verve and gradually you get drawn into it and into a spiders web of intrige and deceit and suspense. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering about how things would play out.
Even though i've seen it about 4 times already! It still surprises me and i'll catch a glimpse of something i hadn't noticed before!
I love films like that which are multi layered and textured.
