I know this is a divisive subject and I’m not trying to start a debate but I just want to say that I spent the bank holiday weekend potty training my daughter who is 3 years and 8 months, it took her two days to get it - it was so much easier than I thought it would be. Yes I’m sure there will be accidents here and there but I just wanted to reassure anyone who is thinking of or has left potty training to later as it sounds like I’ve had a much easier time with it then my friends who did it earlier. Her nursery told me a few months back that they didn’t think she was ready yet - they’re all different and don’t feel like it’s a race to make sure they are potty trained by the time they are 2 or whatever xx

Toddlers are just a different breed aren’t they? Arguably this is half my fault, I left an almost empty coffee cup and she had a couple of sips of coffee. Sounds like I’m over exaggerating but I tit you not, she is running around the house completely naked but for the coronation crown she made at nursery, singing baby shark (well the bit she can sing which is baby do do do) and blowing kisses at her shadow on the wall 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Aren’t they hilarious at times!! A had her pre school jabs this morning, didn’t give calpol before and she seems ok. Hopefully any side effects are short lived but I’ve just given her some calpol (she did it herself woop!!) incase her arms are aching. She seems ok in herself for the minute!

Usually when I’m off in the holidays I take my little one to see my parents. But after the weekend I really didn’t want to see her cos she always puts me in a bad mood because I just know she will go on about potty training and I really don’t need her ruining my week off. 🙂 she hasn’t even text me anyway I never hear from her if I don’t text so what’s the point 😅

My toddler has just turned 2 and for the last weeks he seems to be more tired than usual, he will sleep 7 - 7 but seems really tired around 10am. He will then have a nap for newly 2 hours from midday - 14:00is but by half 4 he’s yawning like crazy until he goes to bed. He is an active toddler but we don’t seem to be doing anything out the norm??

Yawning doesn't necessarily mean you are tired. Its actually a reflex in the brain designed to wake you up and feel more alert. The motion stretches your lungs and allows for more oxygenation throughout your body

Hmm Yes, good point. Genuinely never thought of that! You just automatically link it with tiredness!!

Don’t worry my 2 year old (at the time) was sleeping 7:30pm-6:30am and having 3 hours nap during the day.. she loved her naps 😂 she’s so active so not surprised she slept so much!

Mine is asleep 🥳🥳🥳🥳 last night was 820. He’s been rubbing his eyes since 3pm. He didn’t want to go to bed but I more or less made him cos he’s tired and bedtimes have been bad and late this week 🤯

How have mums coped with the change of their child going to school? A few of my friends have kids going to school in September and the thought of it makes me feel urghhh. Despite some Wednesdays and Thursdays feeling like a chore cos my 3.5 year old was in a constant mood.. I’m going to miss all our days out, our routine of just me and her all day ❤🥲 everything we do together! I’m staying part time at work as 3 days of childcare in school hols is easier than 5 so we will still get lots of time in hols together but I’m just gunna be sooooooo sad next year when it’s over.

I think I’ve been “spoilt” compared to some mums as I’ve been able to take 15 months maternity. I took the 12, then had loads of hols to use and took some unpaid time too due to various things. I’ve been part time since then and I know how lucky I am and fortunate but I also share the weekends with her Dad and the thought of not seeing her much during the week or having fun is tit 🫠😭 I’ve got a year+ yet but I’m dreading it😂

I went back to work when mine was 7 months and it is still horrible now leaving him. I hate dropping him off at nursery 😂. I much prefer jr when I’m at work and his dad takes him. On my days off when he’s at nursery I feel so so so guilty 😂😂 I don’t know when it gets easier. He’s just so cute and sweet I love spending time with him. I literally live for my weekends off and I am lucky to have been able to have feb half term off, one week at Easter and this week as well 🙏

Oh god. He wouldn’t lie down for ages. I had to cuddle him and get him to lie down that way and then he was messing under the quilt for ages. And kept wagging his finger and me and going No!!!🤣
I love half term and I hate half term🤪

My sons nursery has us set so the 30 hours free has him during half term! so he’s still in nursery this week. He woke up at 5:40 and was absolutely shattered when he got back so there was no way he werent napping. he woke up at 4:30 so no wonder he’s still chatting bubbles 😂😂

ouchhh 😭🙃 that’s so early!!!

also update on mini A - I took her to her nans earlier whilst I went the gym so I could go when it was quiet and she was fast asleep when I picked her up, she only had about 30 mins but she was exhausted. She went to bed at half 7 too so I’m really
Hoping she doesn’t wake up tonight. Last night she woke up at 11pm crying saying she felt unwell and she had some calpol!!! (Can you believe it)😂 I’m hoping she feels ok to go to nursery but I spoke to them today and let them know she’s had her jabs and they said she can have some calpol anyway and nursery might distract her from it!

Now she’s abit older and realises it makes her feel better she won’t refuse it (unlike bright yellow penicillin that’s vile….)🫠

Bless her. I hope she’s ok. It really took it out of mine for some reason.
He lasted til 12 at nursery and they said he was lying on the floor and whining a lot. But when my boyfriend got home with him he wanted to play hide and seek 😂. I kept him off the next day as well he was a bit pale and a little warm and a lot whiny…. he went back on Friday. I don’t know about anyone else but mine always gets massive red patches where the jabs have been.

Mine had a really unsettled night after her jabs and was a bit grizzly the next day. Even though they say nothing should really happen, they definitely seemed to affect her
