My daughters dad is such a wick at times! Just picked her up and she’s wearing leggings and a thick denim dress with long sleeved. I asked why she’s in that and not wearing summer clothes given it’s 23 degrees and roasting! She was so warm too. I said “if you need some summer clothes I’ve got loads..” his reply was “you’re pecking my head, duck off” …… wtf. I said why is she wearing a long sleeved thick dress in summer! Idiot🤯

What a delightful man he sounds 🫠🫠 if my sons dad ( my boyf) told me to duck off I think I’d kill him

So I just picked mini A up from nursery and they said in her summer assessment they’re writing they don’t think her speech is where it should be and they feel she speaks too fast and doesn’t pronounce words properly. I cried cos I just feel like I’ve tried so hard with everything to make sure she isn’t behind in any way, and I feel like I’ve failed in some way even though it’s out of my control.

They said she will benefit from speech and language therapy potentially - they’re gunna come up with a proper plan tomorrow at nursery on how we proceed.

I feel awful cos at her 2 year review I was concerned about her speech and then 4 months later she just came on leaps and bounds.

I know sometimes she speaks fast and the beginning is all muddled but I just thought it was just part of being a toddler. They mentioned talking tots I could potentially go to them (I think.. maybe need a HV referral).

I had an awful stammer as a child and I’ve grown out of it now but I just don’t want her to have any speech issues in her teenage years as it was awful!

You haven’t let her Down at all. What did they say at the two year check when you said it was a concern?
How old is she is she 3? Nurseries do have to do these things and show they are helping children. I wouldn’t worry too much about speech therapy. When we have been it’s just some helpful tips and exercises and they get to play as well. Maybe a few sessions will help her if she’s speaking fast and nothing wrong with having a stammer. They’ll be able to help. We didn’t have such things as kids.
Try and stay positive. I’ve been through it all with mine and still ongoing so I know it is a bit of a shock. You’ve said she likes books etc so I wouldn’t worry honestly.

thank you :( I mentioned it and they said it’s nothing to worry about cos she’s only 2, and 3 months later she was speaking a lot better so I’ve not had any concerns really. I know she doesn’t speak as well as some kids but all children are different!

I’ll find out more tomorrow.. I know whatever they suggest will only benefit her so I’m keeping that in mind!

this was my daughters when she got chickenpox, this was day 2… her vaginal area was horrible it was full of spots and I felt horrendous for her but they were the main 2 places xx
Oh it looks nothing like that. It’s literally just on his neck area and cheeks it’s really odd. I was meant to be off work tomorrow but had to change it to Friday cos he has an inset day fingers crossed it’s just a heat rash. He doesn’t have anything on his legs or body anywhere else

Her’s came up with 1 spot on her bum cheek and nursery only noticed cos she was in nappies, they called me to come and get her (this was in the morning).. by the afternoon she had so many all over her body. I was glad she’s got chickenpox over and done with as it was horrible. She would scream in pain at night cos she was still in nappies at the time and the urine was stinging the sores 🙃 it was dreadful!!! I hope it isn’t chickenpox xx

Not the toddler, but I always get heat rash but I only get it on certain parts of my body, usually my chest, neck, and upper arms and sometimes my stomach if it’s really bad. Weirdly it doesn’t spread across my entire body, so it’s possibly it could still be heat rash. Alternatively, maybe a new suncream etc he might be sensitive too?

@strawberrysunshine_x could it be a viral rash? Has he been unwell?
No he hasn’t. Not had anything for a few weeks. I thought could be the sun cream we’ve been using but not sure.
He has had heat rash before when he was younger but I didn’t think it was that warm yesterday to get it.
It’s gone now this morning thankfully. He keeps getting up 530 ish lately 😔😂 I miss winter

mini A was up at 6:15 Monday and 6:30am today, she’s been exhausted by 7:15pm and that’s not helping her early wake ups! I’m hoping she sleeps in tomorrow cos she’s just gunna be a right grump all day otherwise 😫 5:30am is so early, I’d be a zombie lol

I made a mini mistake at work on Saturday after my rubbish nights sleep with LO when I couldn’t keep my eyes open and a customer complained so got called into managers office. Not sure what Is going to come of it but it has ruined my day. 😩

A couple of weeks ago I got a call from my daughter's childminder on a Friday asking me to pick her up as she'd been sick while eating lunch. I did, and as soon as she got in the car she told me it was because they'd given her orange and it made her gag. Fair enough, we no longer give her oranges at home for that very reason, she can be really funny about the pith.
Anyway, the same thing happened when she went back on the Tuesday, except this time it was apple. They didn't make me pick her up as they were confident it wasn't a bug. Then again on the Thursday and Friday they tell me she's gagging on whichever fruit they give her, and she sticks her fingers in her mouth as though she's making herself sick?
Anyway, over the weekend we mentioned several times to her about not making herself sick at the childminder's and she said she wouldn't. First day back today and rather than making herself sick she just burst into tears at lunch and refused to eat a single thing.
Anyone else ever experienced anything like this? She eats fine at home/at restaurants/at nanny's, never stops eating. I'm guessing its psychological but what do I do?

Also she has conjunctivitis right now which is fun 😬

Feel a bit crappy right now with this going on, her waking early in the morning, and my other half losing his job meaning we'll probably lose our house :sneaky:

Im so sorry about your OH’s job, that’s awful. I hope he is able to get something else soon.
Is it just fruit she gags with? If so I would just ask them to stop giving her the fruit (or maybe in a separate bowl) so there is no pressure on her and see if that helps.
