How quickly will he go back to sleep if he wakes? Mine will come into our bedroom and get into bed with us when she wakes, but she’ll zonk out the minute she’s in bed so it wakes me up for 30 seconds max which is perfectly manageable with work haha. If it’ll just be a quick wake for you to go in and lay down, I’d probably risk it because he might surprise you!Yep it is. He’s been in our bed for yearsI’ll see how he goes until I go to bed and then decide. I haven’t heard a peep out of him since he went asleep
Similar to that really. He hasn’t woken in the night for agessssss now. I can’t remember the last time. I hope I haven’t jinxed myselfHow quickly will he go back to sleep if he wakes? I can’t remember how new your baby is but my daughter has been the same and it’s been four months. She has improved but it’s still so relentless some days.My 4yo daughter woke up and chose violence today. She’s normally amazing and I was anticipating her struggling with the arrival of her baby brother but she lured me into a false sense of security by being the kindest, sweetest kid until today. I haven’t been able to say a single thing to her without her shouting/disagreeing/crying and just generally being mean.
Not looking for advice really, I know she’s only four and all this is expected because she’s had a massive upheaval to her life. I also know I’m being hormonal and therefore not thinking rationally. Just needed to vent
Haha fingers crossed but in that case I’d risk it!Similar to that really. He hasn’t woken in the night for agessssss now. I can’t remember the last time. I hope I haven’t jinxed myself. I changed his nappy at 1130 the other night and he didn’t wake
We have coslept in our bed, then around 2 moved them in to their own rooms. However we then cosleep in their room with them until they don’t need it any more. Eldest was 3.5, second was 4.5, third is currently 4.5 and still cosleeps in her room with dad. Those that have co slept when did you decide for them to go in their own room. Mine is unbelievably affectionate and soft. He hates being on his own!! Even if I go out the room during the day he’ll come with me to the loo or upstairs if I’m nipping up for something. He just won’t sleep on his own never has! He sleeps really well next to me so am I just creating problems by moving him. I can’t remember the last time he woke up during the night.
I can not deal with last night all the time. I know he needs to get used to it but I couldn’t settle at all and when I eventually fell asleep he woke up probs an hour later, came into our room so I got in his bed with him and there wasn’t much room obvs and I just couldn’t settle and he was tossing and turning a lot too so we went back into my bedand then he was wide awake til 3 am ish and my alarm goes off at 6 am
I don’t mind him being in my bed at all but he’s 4 now. Do I keep trying or just let him in my bed again. I’m soooo tired and cos of my job ( walking all day I do 25/27000 steps ) I can barely keep my eyes open now and I just wanna cry

But he takes himself in there after his bath should I add so he wants to be in there just not on his own but there isn’t room for both of us hah

Thankyou. This helps and I think it’s something I’m going to do. He woke up I didn’t check the time but I’m guessing midnight or around then and he was on his way back to our roomWe semi co slept till he was 6.
He'd go to bed in his own bed at around 7pm, but then anytime from midnight he'd find himself in my bed. He knew he was able to do that, so long as he always went straight back to sleep. Half the time I didn't know until I woke in the morning.
He decided a week before he turned 7 enough was enough and he's slept in his own bed ever since.
I left the ball in his court, he knew bedtimes meant he had to start the night in his own bed regardless and he knew one day, he'd need to sleep in there all night every night but I followed his lead
This is exactly what we do at the moment. She always starts in her bed but if she wants to come in to us she can, sometimes she does, sometimes she doesn’t. So far it seems to work!We semi co slept till he was 6.

It’s only recently he’s wanted to go in there after bath time. He used to go straight to ours but if he wants to I let him go in there. I will see what he’s like tonight. I feel a bit more awake nowThis is exactly what we do at the moment. She always starts in her bed but if she wants to come in to us she can, sometimes she does, sometimes she doesn’t. I think it's just down to what you're happy with. That's the main thing. Those that have co slept when did you decide for them to go in their own room. Mine is unbelievably affectionate and soft. Haha same it’s a very recent occurrence she’s happy to get in hers at bedtime but I’m sticking with it as best I can hahaIt’s only recently he’s wanted to go in there after bath time. God I hope not as he will be 6 ft by the time he’s 10. He’s so tall hahahI think it's just down to what you're happy with. That's the main thing.
He's not going to be in your bed forever!
Some are happy to do it for a year, some until they're 10, some not at all!
He’s been in there for a few weeks now after bath time but usually when I say it’s bed time he gets off his bed and goes into our room but last night he tucked himself in his own so I thought I’d try it. Bless himHaha same it’s a very recent occurrence she’s happy to get in hers at bedtime but I’m sticking with it as best I can haha
That’s totally normal. Not all kids like to dance, not all adults like to dance. Some kids loooove it, mine would never really have been dancers.First time posting, my almost 2.5yr old son never dances and doesn't really like to sing. He does like music(if I go to hell I'll hear green grass on repeat forever). Otherwise he's developmentally normal, just wondering if anyone elses toddler is like this?
His dad is an absolute non dancer, he's 36 and claims not to know the macarena or the cha cha slide(he's great fun at partiesThat’s totally normal. Not all kids like to dance, not all adults like to dance. Some kids loooove it, mine would never really have been dancers.
