It’s just us two so I have time and unfortunately, I’m full of patience to make sure she eats something before bathtime/bedtime 🥴 it’s my own fault..!!😂😂
My daughter is very picky and a terrible sleeper so I always make sure she has something in her tummy for bed. We do a safe food with dinner and then a plain bedtime snack about 45 mins later like a banana or yoghurt or toast. That way she doesn’t associate not eating dinner and getting more food.

Thank you, I might try this in future. She doesn’t like toast (never has really), she isn’t a huge fan of bread either tbh!😒 yoghurts are fussy too.. one week she will eat 50 of them and the next week won’t tough them. Drives me mad. How can one child be SO fussy

Why are these kids like this? Teen will like something one week, will buy it for her and she will eat it at her dads, but if I buy it, she won’t bloody eat it!!
None of my kids (apart from teen) are fans of toast, but will eat sandwiches
Honestly, if there’s anything I really dislike about motherhood, it is feeding times for 4/5 kids!

Mine has only recently starting eating sandwiches again!! He has always loved toast but loves sandwiches now but I have to cut it in a certain way or he won’t eat it. Also with crisps one day he likes wotsits next day doesn’t. Just never know what you’re gonna get with them

I get it, my daughter is the same. It’s taken her a while and it has to be that she is very hungry for her to eat toast. If I give it to her for lunch it’s a no 🤣 but she’s woken up a few times hungry and she gets no food so now she will eat it if she is hungry. I think I started off with a plain wrap, or a crumpet, not too toasted 🥴
I really do feel your pain and there is so many different approaches. I don’t think mine has massively helped with the picky eating, she often won’t have any dinner. But it stops me from going mad which is half of the battle.

CRISPS!! Every time I go into a shop, it’s ‘can I get these ones? I like these’ and no b eats them! So I have a whole crisp drawer of stuff my kids won’t eat. Honestly, it is so stressful and I feel I am constantly wasting money 😭

Well I guess he’s not ready for toilet training, either that or I’m going to have my work cut out for me. He sat on it the first day and then said he didn’t like it and now has refused any time I’ve asked if he wants to sit on it 🤷🏻‍♀️ and have done with zero pressure no forcing or anything

I just don’t get 3yo (I know… who does?!)
He had an ice lolly. There was 1 lick left and it’s ‘I don’t like it. It’s cold’
He had a packet of crisps. Had 2 left ‘I don’t like these ones’
Although he ate all of his carrots and asked for more today. First day back at preschool and he’s come home starving! Hurrah!

I just can’t deal with it 😂 he stuck his hand in his dads bath and started drying it with one square of toilet roll 🫠

How do we transition from no pants to undies with potty training? My little boy is doing fab on the potty for wees and poos but only when he has no pants on. We tried undies today and he weed in them. We’ve explained you don’t wee with pants on, but do we need to give it a bit longer?

Was he attempting to use the toilet when he weed in them? They need that extra few moments of realisation that the wee is coming when wearing pants, because it takes those extra seconds to get them down. So if it was a case of he was trying and just not fast enough, that’s really normal.

He was eating lunch 🤦🏻‍♀️ so part of me thinks he was distracted, but without pants he took a break from eating tea to sit on his potty and do a poo!

my daughter is the same- she never has ANY accidents with knickers off but sometimes when she’s distracted she forgets she needs a wee. She’s better at realising she needs a wee than a poo though, the amount of pooy knicker accidents we have 😟 i don’t even wash them I just put it in a nappy sack and into the bin!🤣

I bought my little girl these peppa pig potty training pants and for some reason they massively confused her and she would just wee in them as soon as they were on, just wondering if he’s getting confused between pants and a nappy?

Was it a one off then? If so I really wouldn’t worry. Sometimes they get distracted by something that wasn’t interesting the day before. Sometimes they have a bad day. Try again, and keep a close eye on his cues to help him out.

My 4yo struggled quite a bit with the transition to underwear. She got the hang of it eventually, it just took a bit of patience and keep reminding her to go to the toilet

Any advice on potty training at night? My wee boy has been potty trained through the day for about 9 months now, still in a pull-up through the night. I know you can’t train them to go through the night, it’s about waiting for your hormone that regulates it to develop so I’m not stressing. He’s been dry in the morning every day for the past fortnight, bar one. Do I just bite the bullet and take the pull-up away completely? I have a waterproof mattress protector already. Was thinking of lifting him from bed when I’m going to bed, keeping the lights off and sitting him on the toilet for a half-asleep pee lol, do other people do that?

With my first 2, I put them on the toilet when I went to bed. My 3 yo was not interested in the slightest about doing this 😂 he has had a few accidents, more recently than when he first started, but we have pads, so it’s easy to clean up

my daughter is basically 3, she’s been potty trained since October/November and some mornings she wakes up dry and some mornings she’s done a wee in her pull up. When we get to the stage of consistently being dry there’s no way I’m waking her up for a wee. Limit drinks after teatime and make sure they go for a wee before bed! I always remember being 7/8 years old and never was allowed much after tea. I think I’ll use a pull up until school next summer but I keep track of how many morning she’s dry for but like you said it’s hormonal x
