I thought a wine glass was a wine glass. I never knew there are different glasses for red and white. The difference is the shape and the length of the stem. I was gobsmacked

i wasn't aware of this either! but it reminded me of the fact that my partner was 34 when he learnt that soup spoons exist, and they are specifically for eating soup - as opposed to the rounded dessert spoon shovels he assumed they were when he first saw them, y'know, for occasions when you want to scoop huge spoonfuls of dessert into your mouth!

I'm a bit miffed as I saw one of those "Things I didn't know until my 30s" or something videos on TikTok about car sun visors.

The guy in the video demonstrated how you can apparently extend the visor (after un-clipping it and flipping it to cover the top of the door window).

Tried it in my car yesterday (Fiat 500). It did not extend.

So is it just a US/Canada thing? Do only certain makes and models of cars have this? Is it all just a joke?
