I call them granny greysthe different names people use for woodlice depending on where they live always amazes me! i've always referred to them as woodlice, but other names include bible-bugs, cheesy-bobs, chisel-hogs, palmer-worms, monkey-peas, chuggy-pigs, coffin-cutters, sow-pigs, chucky-pigs, grammer-pigs, granny-zows, pigs-lice, roly-polys, nut bugs, johnny-grumps, slate-cutters, cheese-logs, billy-bakers, armadillo-bugs, penny-pigs, dampers, hardy-bugs, daddy-granfer and pellet bugs.
equally, my bets friend at primary school used to happily EAT woodlice. like, she'd purposefully catch them as a snack. it was grim.
