Have you been excused from future jury duty because of having to serve on a CSA case? (Apologies If already been answered, haven’t got to the end of the thread yet)

I served on a domestic abuse case. It was quite awful to have to watch it in court and hear his excuses…was going to go on to describe the infuriating thing what happened in the jury decision room but I believe that might be against the law?🫢

If the trial had started and one of the jurors was medically excused because of a panic attack or another reason, the whole trial would be thrown out and restarted with 12 new jurors not privy to the case.

Actually that mustn't be the case as one of the jury I was on was allowed to leave as she was going on holiday and the trial overran by a few days. We carried on with 11 jurors.

I have never sleepwalker but I'm terrified of people who do. When I was a teenager I had a friend who did and I almost let her walk (or most probably fall) down an outside staircase on a holiday as I was too scared to go near her, thankfully the door was locked so she couldn't get out but she was horrified I wouldn't have done anything

That is extremely odd and nothing I have ever heard of in a court of law. Maybe they thought it was low-level and unworthy to stop continuing with 11. Someone more experienced can confirm but I thought that was illegal in a court of law. Google says:
