I really want to know how you discovered this!

One of the treatments for asthma many many years ago was... tobacco / cigarettes. For many of us it's actually a trigger

I'm from a family of coal miners. They were told that smoking helped them to cough up the coal dust and was therefore beneficial.

That a goes through metamorphosis in a chrysalis , a moth goes through metamorphosis in a cocoon.

If you’re not super computer savvy and are downloading files from random websites (most people won’t unless you are pirating stuff) one thing I’d recommend is this website

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/

You can upload files and links to it and it can detect malware.

The TIL comes from the fact that if you are downloading a zip file, just because the folder is marked as having no malware, doesn’t mean it’s safe. When I unzipped it I scanned one of the files and that contained malware.

I was trying to download an old version of a sims mod ffs. Imagine the stress over something so stupid. Didn’t open the files and sent them straight to the bin, then deleted them from there and my computer says it’s fine.

What, ever? So it could essentially be a free bookshop!?
I work for a library service, if it's the same as us we don't charge late fines, but after a certain period of time the book will be considered lost and you have to pay the full repurchase price.

Oh no I love giraffes. Didn’t think lions ate them tbh😂
I only came across it by mistake. I was looking at someone's insta stories and they were on safari. It showed a lion eating a giraffe!! And I couldnt believe it! It sounds so silly but I had to Google it, because I thought it was a joke at first!! I know its just nature and its the food chain, but it really upset me seeing such a beautiful animal like that. I think lions are stunning too but there's something so graceful about giraffes and it really did upset me.

Ah okay I guess it would be to do with things like sugar or protein in the drink slowing down the absorption. It's mostly sodium and potassium that would make a drink more hydrating but need to be careful with things like that as well especially in the heat and or if someone is training hard

For example I just found out the recently popular Prime drinks are marketed as hydration beverages but actually contain very little sodium to be that.

Also heard of a case of a guy who played tennis in the heat and was hydrating himself with coconut water, which is high in potassium and almost died
Its quite dangerous to drink lots of water as the body needs salt and other electrolytes. I guess that's why the pure water would be a problem. Potassium and sodium are finely balanced by the body so can easily be knocked out by illness or deficiency, (hyponatraemia (sodium) and hypokalaemia (potassium) and conversely when you have too much (hypernatremia and hyperkalaemia), especially as you get older too. Athletes tend to drink electrolyte drinks to replace those lost whilst they exercise. The body is amazing, its scary when it starts to go wrong.

The best actors and actresses act with their faces as well as their words, like Travis Fimmel as Ragnar in Vikings, Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders, Claire Foy in the Crown, powerful performances without the need for speech. The silences are powerful. I've only recently noticed that.
