Come on, that’s not “standard”. A (neurotypical) child needs to learn how to go to sleep independently- it’s not fair on them to train them to need someone to support them to sleep.I mean… it IS normal to still need supporting to sleep at that age. Most people I know routinely support their young children to sleep and many of them have 6/7 year olds.
My kid is a few months older than Nate, we have a simple bedtime routine of milk, stories, cuddles and kisses, then bed. Does it work 100% of the time? Of course not, he’s a baby. But he knows how to sleep by himself.
