When will these companies realise that giving freebies to these women is the number one reason I won’t buy from them. When you have the likes of Jo Malone and other supposedly upmarket brands courting these insta mums it cheapens their brand. You just “gifted” the super exclusive /waiting list only item to this yapping/neighing and privileged woman as a way to get me to part with my actual cash and buy one of your candles/makeup/skincare/underwear etc - erm no thanks, I’m good.

I think companies want the mummy pounds and think these called influencers makes them more relatable to the average consumer, it has the opposite affect with me and people we know.

I think that’s exactly what she’s done, they were down there, she’s picked a hotel and shes got a “deal” - thought she could barter a bit more, didn’t get it- boom bad review! Good on them- makes me want to go - the only thing on her story was the soap wasn’t filled up? And they didn’t have coco pops for breakfast - what????!

Totally agree- not sure the PRs are that smart sometimes because when I see 100 influencers all with the same thing and for free I actually feel like doing the opposite and not buying? I have to say I do love does my bum look 40/fashionlift/mamaedit who do try on’s with aff links because I like to see clothes on people and they generally say size etc. I don’t get to shops much and online shopping can be a pain sometimes so y’know I’m happy for those putting in the hours to get an afflink on a swipe up of stuff they’re trying on ??

i actually don’t think it was a ‘bad’ review. I think she’s trying to make it sound like a bad one. I think it’s a OK review. But obviously she feels cheated as it’s expensive and she was expecting 5*. If was completely free, I don’t think she would have made such a big deal out of ‘it’s a bad review’... she would have just focused on the good stuff (that she listed!) and not added the petty points and trying to make out were so bad. I don’t follow MOD and the other ‘big’ influencers as I found ‘reviews’ fake and I don’t use instagram to be constantly bombarded with advertisements. I love Erica Davies as truthful, transparent, intelligent etc etc...!

I really am struggling with what was bad about her stay, lack of cereal and shampoo!?

Both of which could be sorted with a quick conversation, neither put me off staying because I take my own shampoo and don’t eat cereal so the other lovely options would be great for me!!!!

It was “expensive” because it was half term. Centre parcs is expensive at half term and you get the same experience you get at any other time of the year so she really needs to pull her big girl pants up! I’ve unfollowed all the ones that annoy me- I don’t troll because I come here but when I found myself wanting to troll I knew it was time to unfollow ?

Completely agree- your kids couldn’t have coco pops? Get a grip! You found the part of the day where there was no soap? Ask them to fill it then! I’m giving a bad review if the place smells and is full of bed bugs, not lack of sugary cereal and l’occitane!?

I totally don’t think we should be praising her for her “honest” review. She’s not doing it to be honest to us. She either wants the attention or money back and if they didn’t give her money back then she’s writing that review. There’s always an angle. I’m sure she wouldn’t have written bad review if fully gifted. Also she’s just loving all the fuss over her over this. Again so desperate and attention seeking

I’ve just started a ED thread. Yesterday I think it was she said big big big news ... working in for the last year etc..!!

Newbie here - what are your thoughts on CB? The hypocrisy of her really winds me up. Grid post back in January about her massive debt and then today a story post about the £300 shoes she “bought on a whim”. (She is trying to flog them as she has some others she prefers more).

CB is another one than follows you to get a follow back and then unfollows. I hate this tactic. Follow me because you want to not because it’s part of your game to get a follow back. Makes people feel rubbish. Shellandthelittles does this too. I don’t believe anything they say or preach. I do believe it’s just for money and the fame/attention
