'Soaps'-Coronation Street and EastEnders in particular. The characters are all so painfully stupid. An insult to all intelligent people who happened to be born working class

Super-sharp kitchen knives, make me so nervous! I have beloved slightly blunt ones, rather than those like a Stanley knife with a handle.

What is sad is that both these soaps were really great when they first started. Corrie was groundbreaking, showing day to day working class Northern life led by strong female characters. An episode from 1980 randomly came up on my YouTube feed and I couldn't get over how many amazing characters there were in the one episode. Elsie, Bet, Rita, Ivy, Annie were just a few. It's a very sad shadow of what it was.

Yes I agree. There was so much gentle humour as well. They really were a joy to watch.

I tried watching corrie again a few years ago and one of the story lines was that weird Nick’s kid being obsessed with CHESS???? and wanting to play Roy all the time? I gave up

And why do they insist that any no smoking signs don’t apply to them? Wish they would just ban it.
Yes. I went on a date once and the guy started vaping inside the pub.

I asked whether he could do that as smoking is banned indoors and he just said "put it this way. I do it unless anyone else tells me not to."

There was no second date.

Why do drinkers get so offended by non drinkers that they always say stuff like it's only 1. I don't drink I don't want to so duck off and drink if you want to.c
And vice versa... My boyfriend doesn't drink, I always feel like trash drinking around him, he'll pipe up in a sarky voice 'having a little wine there are we darlin' 😂🍷and when I pour another and the pour is noisy getting me into bother, he'll come out with something else.. He is funny and means nowt by it. But I do feel very weak willed drinking on school nights and stuff .. 😳
It's the same in front of my tea total mum. Getting the tit eye for a second glass of wine and my best mate who will even say to waiters don't serve her a third glass she's like a gremlin..
I hate being surrounded by non drinkers.
They all make me feel like a raging alkie.

😂 I didn't think of it the other way. My husband will have a pint at the pub if we go out and I'm more intrigued than disgusted because it looks so pretty 😂

Bottomless brunches. A while back I just wanted a nice chilled time with my daughter, some eggs Benedict and coffee. And then got greeted with the dregs of the earth screaming like banshees on Prosecco at 11.30.

Maybe my own fault for not checking beforehand, but please allow me to be boring and middle aged. My ear drums are still vibrating months later.

Thank god my daughter (mid 20s) takes after me 😂

Most of the time even when they're told not to do it they continue anyway. I thought smokers were selfish gits until vaping was invented. Vapers are hands down the most entitled people I've ever met. Literally no-one wants to endure the stinking clouds of chemicals you produce. Go away.
