Sorry, I got carried away. I saw a fella on the tv dressed like this, which promted my enthusiasm on this thread 😂
We need a thread for "stuff everyone hates but somehow still exists" my first idea would be Mrs browns boys or whatever it is

It’s going to sound so cliche and make me sound like such and old fart but I do miss the Christmasses of my childhood. I saw a photo on Fb yesterday of an early 80s Christmas, with the tat and the iced cake (that was made in august and given more alcohol than Oddbins) and the huge trifle. And family with silly hats. No outdoing each other. No photos on social media of presents as high as the tree. Yes there was arguments I’m sure but I dunno. Seemed simpler. Don’t even get me started on Halloween. Decorating a Halloween tree? Behave

Going on holiday. Just the thought of having to book and organise, and then pack and the threat of lost luggage and delayed flights, then getting on a plane, then being away from home. Just the thought brings me out in a cold sweat.

Being half naked when it’s hot. I’m pretty fed up of seeing other peoples buttocks and groin creases and vulva lips (!) and navals and toes. I don’t want to see that shit in public in a town centre on a Tuesday afternoon. Put it away.

Taylor Swift. A very boring pop singer that people seem to wet their knickers over. Second only to Beyoncé in mediocrity. Last month it seemed every time I logged into social media there was some post about her. Go awaaaaay.

False eyelashes like the wings of a Vulcan bomber. And rather than drawing attention to your dazzling orbs, they cast such a large shadow they do quite the opposite. Usually worn with an otherwise completely bare face? I don’t get it at all.

I cannot abide pregnancy announcement and gender reveal parties.

The US ones are the worst with the grandparents usually in maniacal /hysterical mode.

I'm not buying crocs as I know I'd love them and I'm the kind of person that couldn't get away with wearing them. Next stop, wolf fleece, it's all a slippery slope.

Harry Styles.
I just don’t get his appeal AT ALL. His music is just mediocre and how he has women falling at his feet I have genuinely no bloody idea. He’s dull, rat faced, puny and his tattoos look like a toddler has gone wild with a Sharpie.

The romanticising of the Beckhams.
I haven’t watched the documentary on Netflix, but it’s easy to be a loving father when you are a multi millionaire and retired in your 40s.
As far as I can see all of their grown up children are living off them!

I’m not a fan of long, elaborate nails in crazy colours/designs. I don’t get it at all. I love a short, neat nail in a strong single colour - far more chic in my opinion.

I agree and I think social media is at the root of it all. Why really bother with the pile of presents, the family PJs, the over the top decorations and so on if not to impress others?
Also add to this list Christmas eve boxes and Elf on the bastard shelf. It's so OTT and all in the name of one-upmanship.
