Regarding the roof, Tim said in the second hurricane vlog that the roof was old. Insurance won’t pay then correct?

Sorry but their hurricane experience videos are pissing me off. I worked on Ft Myers Beach at The Pink Shell and have family and friends who live in Ft Myers, Cape Coral and that entire area. The beach has been FLATTENED. Nothing left. Those in FM and CC - They had or have no power or water, and have to use pool or canal water to flush their toilets - some having to carry it up 3 flights just to get it there. They had all the normal hurricane supplies, but they only last so long. What has Disney or any of these vloggers done to donate, or better yet, Disney send help to that area? At least send stuff some water and food? They get to trot their merry way to the park after losing power for a couple hours - you poor things.

I'm so sorry. The Pink Shell is one of our families favorite places on earth. We were due to go there on the 20th for our umpteenth visit. I hope you're doing okay.

I'm not a "girly girl " I was tom boy that like wearing dresses when I was a little girl before I realized jeans and shorts were more comfortable.

But I do remember even in the late 70s and 80s some girls my age were "princesses" by their parents especially dads. Even more so if they had all brothers and male cousins. As I was never raised to be a "princess." (Even being Jewish with the whole Jewish American Princess crap stereotype that unfortunately one of my cousins was raised to be). It seems to be more common now even if the family has all girls.

I was the same, I was such a tom boy I made a better "boy" than the boys did could kick their ass at football an fighting

Such a dissapointment when I grew out the age where I could be dressed in anything without complaint, I was middle grandkid on one side so that side didn't care what I was since there was already both, but other side I was first grandkid an also first female in many generations so man the fuss that was made because there was finally a "princess" to have dresses, bows an a pink room an could go shopping an get nails done etc in the end the only one truely disappointed was my mum who had wanted all that (an still does) my grandparents realised I was certainly no princess an once older my grandpa actually loved I would go fishing with him, my grandma I think was more relieved cause she couldn't do hair for shit or knew how to dress me (took me up the town when I was 2 in my pj's) as she was only used to boys cause of her sons

Due to Lee County's mandatory evacuation order for all residents and businesses in the Town of Fort Myers Beach, Town Hall will be closing at 1 p.m. this afternoon (Tuesday, Sept. 27) and will stay closed all day Wednesday (Sept. 28) and Thursday (Sept. 29) to public service. (Staff will report as soon as the storm is over, possibly Thursday at some point, to evalute storm damage and prepare for mitigation.)

I honestly want Disney to crack down on the merch minimums even more. It pisses me off to no end to see this crap from local leeches. You gotta have some balls and no regard for others there on vacation once every couple years. It should be no more than 2 per person, per item type. Want more? Gotta go outside and get back in line.

For some stupid reason the clothing rules are written in such a way that it allows each size to count as a “sku”/individual item type. So a person can get 2 shirts per size 8. When I went in January there was NOTHING left over for 50th merch. It was such a disappointment.

I haven't even been tempted to buy any limited merchandise but if I did I know I wouldn't be able to keep my rage at bay.

So they were right (sorta in that Tracker way of leaving out nuance) in that there is no laundry at the Disneyland Hotel.. Also, they could have gone to Paradise Pier, which is MUCH CLOSER than hauling their junk over to Grand Californian. They were in the Frontier Tower after all, the CLOSEST building to Paradise Pier.

I was told God punished me because I was having a boy and bullied very badly by my in-laws and family. BIL's wife had a girl. She is the Second Coming of Christ in this family. Jen would be the same way with the blatant preference maybe even worse because they already don't parent the child they have.

@elliebee27, first, thank you for sharing your personal and heartbreaking story. Second, I’m sorry that you had to endure that cruel treatment from your in-laws. That is never ok. And third, I hope that you and your precious son always remember to love each other and know that it reflects poorly on their character not yours!
