Their front garden is very small with no fence or hedge, maybe they didn't want it so close to the path. They also have outdoor sockets out the back, though you could run an extension lead around the front I suppose

Please don't let that put you off visiting The Efteling. It's an absolutely fantastic, world class theme park. The Flying Dutchman is a unique ride, I literally don't think it exists anywhere else. It's a superb ride but to be honest the queue line and station are worth the price of admission alone before you even get on the ride. The amount of times Shawn said Charlotte 'looked' ill was ridiculous in the Efteling vlogs. We get it, he thought she looked terrible. What a great way to make someone feel worse when they already feel awful He has all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on...

He didn't let Charlotte have the bird whistle despite it being only £1 and even mentioned it again later on, unprompted. I get the vibe 'their' money is 'his' money. Happily spend £6.50 on a dry sausage but doesn't let his fiance have a £1 whistle that'll last longer than the sausage...

Then 15 minutes later in the same vlog he'll say something like, 'the park should have posted about ride closures, especially when people pay a lot to visit.' Blah blah. Exactly this! I've managed to make it to the end of the Manchester Christmas vlog, the whole bird whistle thing comes up multiple times and he gets more and more against her buying it (passing it off as if it's the banter of the day), and then again brings up the cake he also ate that was 'really nice' that Charlotte (seemingly 'jokingly' but obviously seriously) was annoyed he ate most of. They go past the bird whistle area again but she was unable to get one. She even had the £1 coin ready as if it's the pocket money she's been given for the day. I wish them all the best if they're happy but surely this is the kind of thing that's really going to drive some awkward wall between them now they live together. Sounds silly over a whistle but it's not the first time this kind of thing has come up, as you've mentioned. This kind of thing would wear someone down eventually and it'll all be built up and come out at once. Especically as they're having to ultimately share day to day items/activities/shopping etc. It's like the breadbin thing.
I can imagine her getting home from a day to Manchester, somewhat knackered from walking around and having to act up for the camera for a few hours, and just reflecting on the day sitting at home how she didn't get to eat much of the cake she wanted, she didn't get her bird whistle but Shawn had his big sausage he just has to have every year. It must annoy her surely. Seems very unfair...
This was particularly evident when he went on that North American road trip with that Crump one. Their insane planning for that trip basically meant they were getting about 3 or 4 hours sleep each night and their irritability increased as the trip went on and they became more and more exhausted. All the little comments and fake laughs, yes we understand it's annoying that you've flown to the States and the coaster is down but it's like it's a personal insult that they didn't lay out the red carpet because Shawn is in the park.Oh, my God. I wonder what he's like off camera, I thought he didn't have the savvy to have a different 'on-camera' personality. But this discussion makes me think he isn't all Mr Positive/Enthusiasm in real life.
Everytime I've seen/met him in parks he's been super enthusiastic, positive and full of helpful hints and tips. But then I've never seen or met him when one of his favourite coasters is down
