I thought they would have got a bigger house tbh, if shawns taking over the spare room for his merch where are the kids going to go. Hes said he cant wait to have a family a few times over the past year, so i thought a 3 bed house would have been better. Its not a forever home is it.

Also the gardens tiny for his shed!

I did like the excitment over it though, its a huge thing to buy your first house.

He was pulling in a good 100k a vlog for a couple of years so he would have made a lot more back then, I went on a website which said as of about Feb he would have made about £234,000 across the 9.5yrs. However, that doesn't factor in the trip costs (which at the moment are probably only just about breaking even), tax, NI, input into some sort of pension.

But yes, lately I am wondering how they can afford both of them to live off the youtube income. It is very risky imo as any moment youtube could not pay as much or vloggers could be banned from the parks. She also won't be getting an employer's pension now.

I wonder if the remainder of the Disney parks prohibit vlogging whether they would ever go back to any of them.

I know they said they were going to paint and do stuff, but if they want kids then he is going to have to sacrifice the 2nd bedroom.

That works out roughly £24.6k a year before tax/NI and he gets very few views now, so it’s going to be less than that. It’s like you said, it’s super risky. Especially now when the cost of living has gone up massively.

Yeah, I’d be shitting myself personally if I’d bought a place and had no stable/consistent income! I wouldn’t put myself in that position to begin with, though.

Not sure what job she did but I’m sure she could walk to into some agency admin work if they needed too, just because she’s quit her job doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. She doesn’t exactly come across as Einstein with a really specialist role 😂

Another theory is that his parents have recently sold up and have likely downsized to maybe a 1 bed place. If so that would have freed up some equity which may have been used to buy Shawn and Charlotte's place.

I’m local to them and recognise the area the house is in. Despite being a 2 bed it is a semi with a decent sized garden so ideal for exhibiting his collection at home if they wanted to.
