Does anyone have any recommendations for good puzzles for dogs? I have two plus a licki bowl but I want to order some more for enrichment when my dog has surgery as the rest period will be 8 weeks minimum 😭

I take my dog to agility and my agility trainer told me to go to one of the fields with the agility equipment in. The one closest to me has the best equipment out of the ones I've found but they say the dog had to be 18months old to go. Don't know whether to just lie as my dogs younger than that as the only other I can find is a lot further away and its not as good. He is 14 months old and will be going just to get used to going on the equipment as my trainer said to get him used to going up things so he isn't scared of them

I didn't even know that was a thing tbh! I don't know why because it makes sense 😂. Will definitely be looking into that, thank you for posting.

That’s amazing. I think from your previous posts we’re in the same area, I’ve only ever heard good things about the local rescues. Mine was down west and I can’t rate them highly enough, they’ve been fantastic. Even now if I have any issues they’ll help with training.

@Bobby Chariot I know you have adopted ex greys, is it this time of year when aload of them are in rehoming homes looking to get adopted? I ask, if you remember when we wanted to adopt a dog, which unfortunately didn't work out, I do check their website as a few I saw are still there :( but they seem to have recently have loads of grey's.

Don't think there is a specific time of year really @Maid22
They seem to be available in waves mind you, all year round, maybe when dogs are deemed not good enough for the track they come as groups to rescue shelters?
The place we got our latest girl a couple of years ago was packed & had around 70 Greys available, with dogs arriving regularly from the North of England.
Greyhounds are over-bred, a lot of them tend to come from breeders in Ireland, every Grey we've had was born there.

Poor thing, I don’t know if this is what the vets gave you:
But I’ve been given this by the vets before(it’s cheaper to buy online) and a few of the rescues I’ve fostered for swear by it

Aww, she's only 2, mine will be 7 this year, I can't believe where the time has gone! Im an old fart, but I remember the night we picked him, he was the only black and white collie, and was strolling away in a farmyard! He was 5 weeks old, had to wait another 3 weeks for him, never done that before, my last dogs, saw them, bought them home!

Blimey,am still annoyed about what was said about our dog yesterday! Anyways me and fatty have had a good walk today, and I'm lucky, local farmer lets me use a field so he's had loads of ball play! Better not spoil him on Wednesday, his birthday!!

@SkinkaareFan you are not a terrible owner! Maybe there's another reason why your doggo has weight gain?
Gosh please don't beat yourself up over it, you really come across as a lovely doggo owner xx

I've been mixing food topper with water and freezing them in a slow feeding bowl, keeps my dog entertained for a while and cooling
