So I’m a peloton member and have been for about 3yrs with the bike which I use probably 3-4 times per week. I’ve just done a search on her which wasn’t difficult and found her profile! What I would love to know is that if she “loves peloton” and been using peloton “constantly for years now” then why the hell has she roughly done the equivalent of 0.24 workouts in 3.5yrs like she said she’s been using them. Note the date and times in the bottom left of her workouts and the huge gaps between using peloton. I cannot see how she can state such claims and how a brand can even think that she would be a good fit for anything when she has done 3 classes in the last 3 months and then months in between her classes and even when she uses peloton she is doing stretch classes and not a workout. She’s so full of shit and a total fraud but I’m sure her sheep will be lapping her up with that reel and news

She needs to have a fuckin look at her carbon footprint! I’m not suggesting never flying but seemingly flying half way round the planet every few weeks to run / walk a few miles is pretty outrageous and absolutely pointless!

I am really surprised she’s going in for baby #2. It’s not that hard to work in personal hobbies and a husband working away with 1 child as you can usually get someone to look after them, so she complains a lot about a problem that doesn’t really exist given the amount of help she must have for her frequent child free jollies.

Finding someone to sit 2 small children is a much bigger ask, especially if her mum is unwell. And you certainly can’t go on the kind of uninterrupted buggy runs she wants with 2.

OMG and now she is on stories moaning about how her child has been reacting badly to her being away, news flash, he’s not a baby any more but he still needs his mum! They’re only little for such a short time FFS spend some time with him now while you can rather than gallivanting off on stupid paid for trip. She does not need the money.

I actually really really dislike her

Going to out myself here… but Battersea yesterday dealt with 1000 runners with an ambulance on the course. Give a shit if your time is 45 seconds out?! Hopefully the person in the bloody ambulance is ok!!

Urgh honestly who cares if they add a few seconds on to your 30 odd min parkrun?! Fuck off Charlie. I was a parkrun event director for several years and I’d have been SO pissed off if someone had done a miserable fucking post like she had. Perhaps she’d like to volunteer? I haven’t seen one post of hers where she’s done that?

Criticising a free, volunteer led event on a public platform will not win you any friends.

Charlie: I’m not running a spring marathon, woe is me, my life is so hard, please give me clicks and likes on my Peloton ad
Also Charlie: i’m signing up for a summer marathon which is on the other side of the world, a 24hr flight away from my husband and child

I used to (years ago) find her pretty inoffensive but at the moment she’s grating a lot. Maybe it’s because it’s still dark, or that I’m ill but she’s coming across as so tone deaf. Constantly promoting expensive races abroad, moaning about no time to exercise when she has an £££ gym at home and has a pt, now she’s going on about doing the Serpentine swim (£60 for only 2 miles).

That isn’t even taking into account the multiple trips away.

I follow an influencer who used to live very near me and yesterday announced she wanted to get a job (😬). She said her paid promotions had dried up and she wanted to change her life. She was stressing out because she had looked at her feed more objectively and it wasn’t what employers would want to see represent their company. I just thought it was interesting because I wonder how many of the likes of these running influencers actually think about what they post in terms of future employment?

If she stuck to the well-off/ middle-class active mum-fluencer profile, doing parkruns, 10ks and the odd half plus holidays, she could probably have a decent following. The problem is that she still wants to fit in with the US barbies...
She is just not relatable to anyone as the barbies all have kids and don’t moan and get their BQs time after time! In terms of UK rivals she’s been overtaken by Anya and McCarths in terms of running/influencing/ London girly life and others - even Jennyfit is snapping at her heels and getting lulu partnership! She barely runs, and when she does it’s a three mile run-walk with the buggy and the dog (an absolute nono for me safetywise by the way, particularly on the towpath! Her USP is the dietician thing - but as she seems to work once a quarter, she’s just even more dull, dull, dull!

As a fellow toddler Mum, I would rather skewer my eyeballs with a rusty fork than drag my kid to NYC for 36 hours & giving them jet lag for what… jogging around Central Park and taking photos of yourself in a bra in your hotel room? Make it make sense.

She's a bit stuff really as she's too privileged to be relatable, but equally not that aspirational, particularly in terms of her running.

Free home gym, free peleton, occasionally paid to run (Westin), childcare seemingly coming out of her ears, works one day a week, none of the physical impacts of pregnancy/labour or the postpartum period etc etc.... but her times are still what they were.

And if she owned that it might be ok, but I think if she knuckled down and took advantage of her freebies etc people would respect the work (and possibly be more likely to buy a peleton/gym etc).

She's the ultimate example of how money doesn't make a good runner.

She’s from an incredibly wealthy background - went to boarding school. House was probably paid by family money, as was surrogacy.

One of the reasons she is so unrelatable and not aspirational at all.

- very mediocre runner
- doesn’t work hard at training
- doesn’t have many demands on her time (barely works and family look after kids)
-zero money issues

Doesn’t fit into the mummy runner market either cos she doesn’t look after her child much and hardly trains.

When you have the likes of “runner of 4” and lilliefitness (no children but smashing the training), charlie is totally irrelevant.

Off to watch the you tube video now

She really annoyed me with her boasting about how she was one of 50 under 30s to do the 6 star… it’s not a running flex, it’s privaledge. You may as well post “ look at me I’m rich” it has the same affect

100% !!

I don’t think the 6 star finisher is anything special to aspire to, it’s just a commercial gimmick!

Anndddddd she’s off to Sydney *gifted

I do wish she’d stop banging on about being one of the youngest under 30 to run all six star marathons. One, it involves a huge amount of financial privilege to afford the long haul travel, and two, it only happened because she was gifted a place to Boston.

The one that annoyed me was the post she did the other day about running being ‘high maintenance’ - well it is if you’re flying around the world for half marathons every other week, paying for peloton and buying fugly shorts that don’t suit you on a regular basis. For the rest of us doing our local £20 10ks and buying clothes off Vinted, it’s cheap as chips 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Isn’t every single one of her posts or stories a complaint about some form of struggle?
Meant to post the other weekend when she complained about a parkrun fail because her son wouldn't go in the buggy. Well obviously - he's well over 2 now, not a baby! Her whole plan of reviewing different parkruns round the South East for buggy-friendly seems to neglect the fact that her child is growing and developing, and might not want to be dragged round the country to different parks and just have to sit quietly while his mum runs. Running for mental health is important and vital but his needs should come first.

She’s struggling though guys, she’s finding it hard to get back into a running routine after Christmas.

Maybe a gifted trip to Sydney a mystery marathon major will make her feel motivated?

😶
Tbf she’s been struggling to get into a running routine for about 8 years 😆 It’s basically her brand now. “How I tried and failed for the eleventy billionth time to get a BQ because ultimately I couldn’t be bothered with my (gifted) training plan”.
