I don't remember any specific sorts of links other than Bond and the other main characters. However I could be wrong because I saw some of them so many years ago now and can't remember them exactly.
Not directly linked but certain characters and organisations make repeated returns. SPECTRE, SMERSH, Blofeld etc etc. The main villain would often be connected to SPECTRE but the films were not direct sequels to each other. In the Sean Connery era were the bond films linked or just totally different stories I cant remember?
Having seen him in few things recently I think Stuart Martin could be a good shout. He isn't too well known, and has something of m Henry Cavil meets Hugh Jackman about him
Oh interesting.Well, well well .... look who's in the frame.I only noticed him a year or two ago when I discovered Miss Scarlett and The Duke and thought he'd be a great choice. Experienced but not well know. 6'2, 38, dark hair and Scottish. What's not to like?
NB ... not sure if the link works but it was in the Daily Mail.
I will because there's someone in the frame every other week in the DM however, where I think this differs, is because Stuart Martin is really not well known own at all. It's not like the usual Henry Cavil, James Norton, Arron Taylor Johnson etc etc ... Then again it's not beyond agents and pr departments to throw names in the mix to get publicity for their clients.Oh interesting.
Take with a pinch of salt, but i really think he is one of the better choices. Unless they really do want to go younger.
It's always been a relatively unknown actor chosen. Not someone who has already hit the A list
Completely agree.I will because there's someone in the frame every other week in the DM however, where I think this differs is because Stuart Martin is really not well known own at all. I do think he'd be a good choice though.
Completely agree.
I wonder if it's can claim a fee for suggesting him over 2 years ago![]()
I bet she is. Thank goodness her and Michael have overall control. Amazon want to do all kinds of rit and spin offs with it.I think Barbara will be too busy knocking Amazon executives about (metaphorically) at the moment to be too focused on the next Bond actor.
Amazon will pump it to death for "content", spin offs, and all that rot. The films struggled to be good even one every few years, Amazon will kill it. Don't think there is any IP they've handled particularly well so far.I'm surprised they have handed it over to Amazon
I feel like James bond is over for me now, I have no faith that amazon will look after the franchise

That's sad but unsurprising. Michael is 83 and wants to retire and I guess Barbara hasn't got the energy or will to fight Amazon every step of the way with every decision.I'm surprised they have handed it over to Amazon

I agree. Although Jack Ryan and Reacher have been good. Which gives me a tiny bit of hope.Amazon will pump it to death for "content", spin offs, and all that rot. I know most people hate Die Another Day, but I honestly kinda like it for it's sheer naffness, campness, ridiculous story and the attractive Korean guy. That game show thing they did was pretty poor. And you know it's going to end up as some sort of James Bond universe.
I definitely think James Bond ended with the last movie, although personally it ended with Die Another Day for me![]()
The last one I really enjoyed was Skyfall. Spectre started off ok then lost it at the end and No Time To Die was so awful I only watched it once. The only Bond films I've watched once are Quantum of Solace and NTTD.That game show thing they did was pretty poor. And you know it's going to end up as some sort of James Bond universe.

I liked DAD. I even liked the theme tune.I know most people hate Die Another Day, but I honestly kinda like it for it's sheer naffness, campness, ridiculous story and the attractive Korean guy.![]()
For all Daniel Craig was a great Bond, he only had 2 genuinely great films in Casino Royale and Skyfall. Not many big budget, dark, action films could basically do Home Alone as your third act and make it work. The last one I really enjoyed was Skyfall. Spectre started off ok then lost it at the end and No Time To Die was so awful I only watched it once. The only Bond films I've watched once are Quantum of Solace and NTTD.
