This woman is so dangerous 😡😡 if you have strep b it can and has killed babies, why would you advise against antibiotics that will save a babies life?? And putting off people having a sweep too, when i had mine i was told i was nowhere near ready to give birth and they booked me in for an induction a week later, but that night i did go into labour and thank god i did as it saved my babies lifeView attachment 1445523View attachment 1445524
She makes me so fucking mad. How many babies have died because of her fucking ignorance? Yeah, most babies won't die from Strep B, but if taking antibiotics stops even 1 woman losing her baby, it's worth it you fucking witch.

I definitely would want my surgeon/consultant to be able to see during a section. And not have burning candles by oxygen 😂😂😂 what an absolute cunt she is.

She should be advocating woman’s rights of course! - but please, don’t patronise and condescend medically trained professionals who are trying to ensure their safety and deliver healthy babies. There’s no other motive.

Sorry but if a mother wanted a birth to remember - get your healthy baby in your arms. Not candles and burning essence and chanting. Fucking leave it out. This is serious shit. Don’t make a fucking mockery out of the NHS and put innocent babies at risk.

Coming from someone who has worked extensively in obstetric theatres (as well as had my own delivered there) she’s got some funny ideology about the state of the NHS at the minute. Yes staff will do their best to accommodate, but at the end of the day they have one job and one concern. Safety of mother & baby. Filling peoples heads with things that are likely to be unrealistic for a stretched workforce leaves people feeling they weren’t treated well 🤦🏻‍♀️ But then people don’t want to part with their money to be dealt reality do they. It really makes me laugh how these people think they are superior than those who have done 10 + years at med school before they even specialise.

I reported her Instagram a while ago. She is a charlatan because she is masquerading as a medical professional. Doulas are for support only. She breaks Doula UK’s codes of conduct in more ways than one.
I find it interesting that she opted for an elective C-section for her own baby, yet goes on with the ‘floppy fanny’ ‘just breathe your baby out’ mantras.

So, the cervical exams that she's said numerous times are risky and unnecessary... actually proved to be very useful and heavily guided what happened in the end? Interesting.

I don’t know why anyone would take medical advice from someone whose Instagram is like a cartoon.

Edit - I don’t know why anyone would take medical advice from Instagram 😬

I just don’t get how she can now continue to preach to people about natural birth when she’s had 2 c sections herself. There’s obviously absolutely nothing wrong with c sections, but she’s telling people how easy giving birth vaginally is without ever having experienced it. I actually really like hypnobirthing and found it very helpful with my births, but her approach to it is all wrong. She comes across as judgemental and living in a dream land. I think she sets women up for failure to be honest by making it seem like some amazing magical easy thing, whereas in reality it can quite literally push you to the edge and be the hardest thing you’ve ever done both physically and mentally.

Couldn’t find a thread so I’ve made one. I can not deal with this woman. She is dangerous!!!!

Basically a doula who I believe has no medical/midwifery qualifications but advocates for ‘natural’ births and actively encourages women to disregard medical advice, doing things on their own terms such as declining inductions

This is the shit that pisses me off!!!! Why say it’s a ‘myth’ if shes saying she hasn’t done her research!!!! Imagine someone with a family of high blood pressure and preeclampsia declining aspirin, she’s so dangerous!!! She needs to be struck off

So glad I've found this thread! First time Mum-to-be here, and finding everything slightly overwhelming. I came across The Naked Doulas account and started following a couple of months ago, to start with I was a bit sucked in (not to the point where I've paid for her app/course though) but as the weeks/months have gone by the content just didn't sit right with me, it felt dangerous. I have a fantastic midwife, very supportive but TND's content has me scrutinising my midwifes advice, wondering if she does have my best interests at heart. Making me feel like I have to challenge absolutely everything. Anyway I've had to unfollow TND, I think her advice is dangerous, she made me feel scared not empowered! This thread has been amazing at confirming my doubts - thank you! x

Have only come across her in the last couple of days and don't know how she can be giving out this advice.
As a mum who's first baby had group b strep, I just don't know how she could advise anyone not to have the antibiotics on offer. I had the antibiotics with my second and would have had them again with my third had I needed to.
My baby is now a healthy 7 year old but being told your 4 day onld baby needs a lumbar puncture to check the infection hasn't spread to her brain is pretty traumatic.
I notice how she says antibiotics can lead to thrush but fails to mention the strep be can lead to pneumonia, sepis or meningitis.
Honestly how she can post this shit is beyond me.

I'm in support of doulas, they help advocate for women when they are at their most vulnerable. Obstetric abuse is a thing, and women are supposed to have autonomy.

But they are not supposed to be giving medical advice, the Naked Doula gives all doulas a bad name. Reminding mothers of their rights and options yes, giving medical advice or essentially encouraging them to ignore advice, no.

That flicking the bean stuff is cringeworthy, I would feel violated if I was pregnant and someone told me to do that.

I had a c section 2 months early because of severe preeclampsia and it was the safest thing for both of us. She talks absolute shit. If I’d had a ‘natural’ birth my blood pressure could have got even worse, causing more risk of complications. For a birthing ‘expert’ she spouts some absolute bullshit.

Alive is the safest birth you fucking moron.

I’m pregnant atm and got an online hypnobirthing course from the positive birth company.
Before I continue - I agree thay getting yourself in tizz and stressing and screaming isn’t the best way to get through labour & Breathing properly and staying calm can help a lot.

However I just found so many of the videos like this woman.. just completely anti hospital's, interventions, inductions etc and I just find it bizarre. “We’re mammals were meant togive birth in the dark alone”
Yes… and what do we think the rate of mothers & babies dying during birth were 🙄??

also this bullshit of pushing the mantra that birth / labour shouldn’t be painful? Doctors & hospitals make it painful? Yes I’m sure cave women pushed a human out their vaginas and laughed and joked the whole way through it cus it was just a painless experience for them🤦‍♀️.

Another girl I know who does a hypno birthing course follows this nutter.. when I told her I got diagnosed with gestational diabetes she asked why I even went for the test & it’s a complete waste of time and She tells all her ladies not to bother 🙃🙃🙃🙃. It’s so irresponsible and dangerous.

like midwives and doctors aren’t sat in a room before your birth evil laughing to one another about how painful they can make labour for you.. they literally want the same as you. You’re on the same team. They want youto have a health delivery and a healthy baby.

All you sheep who believe allopathic medicine will save you. Laughable.
Both me and my baby would have died in February this year without allopathic medication. I would have likely had a seizure and he would he been quite literally starved of blood and nutrients.

So yeah. Really funny isn’t it?

Fuck me the morons really do walk among us.

I spoke to my actual qualified midwife at work about this woman.
She told me the advice the naked doula offers people is really worrying. She said her experience of doulas in general are ‘they are more hassle than they are worth’

She pulls a baby out of her open stomach, ends up with a pph from infection and has the gall to kick off about the hospital not letting her have a private side room whilst they save her life.

Fucking DICK.
