That’s really interesting, I do not know much about Doulas but I did a lot of research with my own births and trusted the doctors and midwifes with their advice 100%.I reported her Instagram a while ago. She is a charlatan because she is masquerading as a medical professional. Doulas are for support only. She breaks Doula UK’s codes of conduct in more ways than one.
I find it interesting that she opted for an elective C-section for her own baby, yet goes on with the ‘floppy fanny’ ‘just breathe your baby out’ mantras.
This was meant to say hypocrite of the highest orderYes her elective c section baffles me as well, u the highest order
Absolutely. I’ve just been reading the comments then, people saying stuff like ‘I’m a size 18 perfectly healthy’Also this BMI stuff. You can’t monitor a baby safely if a mother is fat - sorry - you can’t. that’s why water births are discouraged. Encouraging mothers with BMI’s that are very high is endangering lives.
The article is quite ambiguous, I can't see any mention of TND at the birth, in contrast the NHS midwife has been named and was present.
Maybe I'm missing something, I've read the OK article a few times and each time the tone is different. Maybe they're editing it or maybe it's just me.
