Not a moisturizer ( it’s a highlighter ) but Charlotte Tillbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is next level for giving you a glow and it just blends in with your foundation. I’ve only just started using it and love it.Does anyone have any recommendations for a moisturizer that is a nice glowy base for under makeup? I love the glowy skin look that's everywhere at the moment but I find most moisturizers tend to dry quite matte and it makes my foundation look dry and cakey.
Careful, her stuff is like Pringles. Once you pop...Thank you both - been eyeing up a few Charlotte Tilbury items for a while and it looks like that might be my first purchase!
Second this. I sometimes use it as a base for every day just with some concealer. Gives lovely coverage. I've been using it for about 4 years! xxNot a moisturizer ( it’s a highlighter ) but Charlotte Tillbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is next level for giving you a glow and it just blends in with your foundation. I use the Eborian cc cream. You only need a little bit and it's fairly high coverage which surprised me. It's a bit more pricey but it's good stuff.Does anyone have any recommendations for a CC or BB cream? I have been using a Garnier one for a few years for work but feel like I need more coverage and the colour isn't working for me (I use light but it seems orangey). When I've been googling the one by IT cosmetics pops up a lot but wondered if anyone knows of a dupe or a slightly cheaper alternative?
I have used the IT cosmetics one and thought it was really really good. Sculpted by Aimee Tint and Glow is fab too. The Bourjois CC is good but similar price range to Garnier.Does anyone have any recommendations for a CC or BB cream? I have tried the mac stack mascara and I think it goes on really great and looks fantastic but it literally melts!!! I end up looking like a panda after a few hours.Mods feel free to delete/ move this if there is already a makeup thread!!!
I have some questions if anyone else feels like an endless free ramble about makeup and would like to join me!
Has anyone tried MAC stack mascara? Any good?
And does anyone know of a great highlighter for pale skin?
Mac studio fix. What’s everyone’s favourite foundation?![]()
Yes. I agree. I think it’s very chalky now too and the colour isn’t quite the same. I bought the MAC radiance serum foundation to try…it slides off me quite easily despite using a setting powder. I have been mixing the two together to use them up. Not sure where to go next. I’m 40 now and think the longer wearing foundations are starting to age me. I like a medium sort of coverage. Interested in suggestions too!Did anyone else love MAC Studio Fix foundation until they reformulated itUsed to find it really nice and glowy without being too much for my combination skin but since the reformulation it's more matte/chalky and seems to just sit on my skin? I've used it since I was 19 and it's been my go-to for yearssss. Does anyone have any recommendations for similar foundations (pre-reformulation)?
Le Beiges Chanel, Vieve Complexion Balm, Nars Light Reflecting, and Dior Forever foundation stick, all have incredible application. What’s everyone’s favourite foundation?![]()

Same! I still have mine from years ago!I have just ordered the Urban Decay Naked basics 2 palette , to be honest I have tried numerous eyeshadow palettes in recent years including CT but this is my absolute favourite..
I liked the tutorial but none of those colour combinations would suit me. I'll probably get the antique green e/s (Madrigal) on its own, as I don't have anything similar and it matches one of the nail polishes in the Chanel x-mas collection which I got.Did anyone see Lisa Eldridge’s new eyeshadow palettes? I’m tempted by two of them but I’ve so many already although they are lovely.![]()
