Did anyone else love MAC Studio Fix foundation until they reformulated it :( Used to find it really nice and glowy without being too much for my combination skin but since the reformulation it's more matte/chalky and seems to just sit on my skin? I've used it since I was 19 and it's been my go-to for yearssss. Does anyone have any recommendations for similar foundations (pre-reformulation)?
Yes, I haven't tried the new formulas yet as the reviews I've read haven't been very good. I use the YSL all hours foundation now.

I’m sure a lot of others who also need serious high coverage will be feeling equally gutted.
I recall that a brand Cover FX was good for this sort of thing including tattoo cover ups... They are in beauty bay so might be worth checking out

I've recently tried it and it's nothing special. Their promise of matching isn't correct, mine didn't match my skin. Wasn't great coverage and didn't last throughout the day. I also tried their cream to fill wrinkles and it made my skin SO dry and it felt awful and, again, didn't last.

I didn't even get my money back despite their promises so save your money x
Ah thanks, so glad I asked! Sorry you didn’t get your money back!

Mods feel free to delete/ move this if there is already a makeup thread!!!

I have some questions if anyone else feels like an endless free ramble about makeup and would like to join me!

Has anyone tried MAC stack mascara? Any good?
And does anyone know of a great highlighter for pale skin?
I really love Mac stack , I'm a mascara addict , I've tried literally every one. My favorite is Charlotte tilbury legendary lashes 2 , Mac stack is a very close second

Me too. I looked at it once and now they constantly bombard me with emails. I saw it in real life on a customer at work and didn’t rate it. It looked dry and I have really dry, sensitive skin so gave it a pass.

Can anyone recommend a really good concealer? Iv got a little blemish that I can't get rid of and jt drives me insane. So I want quite a good concealer just for that area. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance x
I use Too Faced Born This Way if I need something covering up or on nights out as it’s a full coverage one. Mac do a nice full coverage for spot concealing as well it’s in a little round pot. I’ve got a little red birthmark on my cheek and both of these do a good job at hiding it

Trolls I really need help with a new mascara after Boots changed the formula on my go to - Extreme Lash. I'm spending £££ trying to find a suitable replacement! Musts are:

Waterproof
Plastic comb/wand rather than brush
Buildable so I can have a "light" look or more drama

Ones I've tried:

L'oreal telescopic lift - smudges badly
Maybelline sky high - find it doesn't coat lashes well
Max factor lash crown - not buildable enough

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
I loved Too Faced Better Than Sex (they do a waterproof one) until I tried Sweed’s Cloud mascara. It is water resistant but not waterproof, although I got something in my eye the other day and rinsed it and it was fine. It has a plastic wand and is honestly amazing. One coat and my lashes are super long but not clumpy.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a dupe or alternative version of Urban Decau heavy metal eyeliner? Its out of stock and they dont know when they will get more. I like alot of glitter and want to expand but cant find anything in a wide range of shades.
Revoultion do a chrome eyeliner which is high impact and comes in lots of shades. Just looked and do they sell a glitter liquid eyeliner too.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a CC or BB cream? I have been using a Garnier one for a few years for work but feel like I need more coverage and the colour isn't working for me (I use light but it seems orangey). When I've been googling the one by IT cosmetics pops up a lot but wondered if anyone knows of a dupe or a slightly cheaper alternative?

Anybody used Il Makiage foundation? Keep seeing it all over my socials and would love to know people’s thoughts.

Which foundation are you using? The problem may lie with that instead of/as well as your moisturiser.
I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid - I'm reluctant to try other foundations though (I have done in the past but a lot of them were disappointing, plus with MAC I know my exact colour match) 😅

I don’t really know what kind of product I am looking for but wondered if someone can help :ROFLMAO:

I fake tan my body but not my face as it normally causes spots. I don’t like to wear foundation every day so I normally use the Rimmel sun shimmer one day tan stuff, but I don’t like how matte it is and that it comes off so easily if anything touches it. Does anyone know of anything I could use instead that would look like a natural tan? Any skin tints or anything like that? I’ve heard about elf halo filter but wasn’t sure if that would do it
Clarins do a fake tan fluid, it’s not fake tan as such, it’s a liquid that you mix a couple of drops of with your normal moisturiser and it’s like a gradual tan thing. It’s really nice!

I have the IT Cosmetics CC and it's alright, but I have the lightest shade and it's a bit orangey on me and I don't think I'm even particularly fair - maybe average for a white Brit in the middle of winter! I think the Missha Perfect Cover BB is better than the IT Cosmetics - the shade match is better for me, it doesn't have a weird smell unlike the IT Cosmetics one, it's cheaper (£15-£18 ish), and I find the finish is better (no picking up dry patches, at least for me) and it fades more evenly throughout the day. The downside is that I haven't found a physical stockist so it's a big of guesswork when it comes to finding your shade, and there aren't many shades to pick from.
