Peacocks are very nosy creatures, and are prone to escaping, so if a neighbour has peacocks they will invariably end up in your garden at some point. One of our neighbours had them and we'd often wake up to them calling outside our house.
I'd bet their neighbours have them, but because the Minghams are always gallivanting about they don't often see them.
