I saw a woman wearing slobby pyjamas and her dressing gown in Waitrose today.

Waitrose!

Society really has gone to the dogs.
Wow that's surprised me especially in there. I'm not a regular shopper in Waitrose, but I go to various supermarkets and has anyone else experienced in Waitrose other people asking you to move or "excuse me" when you are nowhere near them. I think that's a posh supermarket thing. So strange!

This turns my stomach especially as you know they are unwashed and most likely not brushed their teeth. So grim and contemptuous of other folks sensitivities.🤮

I’m too scared to walk in my own kitchen in PJs and dressing gown to make the 6:30 am cuppa, just because the neighbours can see in 😂
I have semi-regular anxiety dreams about being out in public barefoot / in pyjamas / naked wrapped in a towel, and some people are happy to stand in a supermarket having just rolled out of bed 😱

What gets me is when people say “Oh but maybe they’re unwell and they don’t have a single soul to go out and buy a few groceries for them”. Nah, I’d still put some actual clothes on, even if it was gross and un-showered. I have decorum.

When men post reviews on amazon etc. saying "the wife wanted it, she's happy so that's all that matters"

Just the whole concept of the man ordering something the wife asked him to order, then reviewing it and giving it all happy wife happy life shtick 🥴

Even worse the humiliation when you don't realise the bus stop is not in use and you put your hand out and are left with the bus driver and passengers all gawping at you as the bus carries on without stopping

Me, myself... recently I've started saying 'excellent' in reply to people suggesting stuff at work and I don't know why but it's annoying myself but I just hear it coming out of my mouth before I can stop myself  😅 I need to switch to something else because their suggestions are normal and mundane, NOT excellent.

Bus related ick. Man was running for the bus full speed. His backpack was going up and down his arms were going side to side in front of him and the bus driver drove off without him. He stopped and threw his arms in the air 🤭

I waved at someone I thought was waving at me but wasn't, yesterday. I wanted to crawl up my own hole and die of cringe 😳😭

It's going to keep me awake at night for the next 3 to 5 years 🙃

I actually did this but WORSE - I saw this person who I thought I knew, and when he walked by me I said "Hey *insert name here*". He smiled and THEN I realised he was not the person I thought lol. It was like 6 years ago, it will never not haunt me 😂😭

I did something similar the other day. I walked into the shop where I buy loads of stuff for work and the staff are usually always floating about and will shout hello when you walk in the door. Well, I walked in and saw a woman bending down to look at something on the shelf, all in black same as the staff, and said “Hello, how’s it going?!” quite loud and familiar. Well she just looked at me like I was a weirdo, I said oh I’m sorry I thought you worked here, she just turned her back and ignored me. 😳

I gave myself the ick yesterday because I caught a bus for the first time since I was a late teen (I’m late 40s now) in my town and wasn’t actually sure what to ask for/say as like everywhere, it has a capped fee now, so I googled while I was at the bus stop. It didn’t really help, so I got on and asked for a “single to X” and the driver had to explain to me that I just needed to tap on with my card, then tap off at the other machine when I got off. Of course, then I couldn’t see where the tapping off machine was so she had to point it out to me. FFS.

At least I know for next time.
