Josh’s repeated betrayals followed by "public repentance" and his family creates pressure to forgive. For her to ever even think of leaving she would need significant intervention with a trained team of mental health professionals to get out of the cult not a counselor from her community who will never name Josh’s behavior as predatory and reinforce back to her duty to forgive.

Absolutely every word of this is spot on. The 'teachings' of their cult reinforce all this patriarchal bollocks. Jinger has described it at length and their cousin Amy has also been speaking out (I've just bought her book, haven't started it yet!)

You wouldn't hear them coughing/choking with the door closed, so having it open with the gate up is the safest option.

Most people put a gate on the top of the stairs though not over the doors. Or at least we did

I am not in the loop as this looks to have happened last week but check out ballz_2.0 on instagram- she does excellent coverage on Katie Joy. I just checked and KJ has outed the victim!!! Like it’s clear as day who it likely is given what has transpired, I figured it out within 5 minutes of Joes arrest with a TLC clip and a simple google search which creepily immediately brought up a fundie wiki deranged Duggar fans made of all the children in the families including their birthdates. But What if it was someone else on their annual holiday? Totally plausible considering these groups flock on holidays together.

Fair enough she has been sued by adults for being falsely accused of being predators but this is another level. If there’s anything universal the world has common, it’s you do not name or speculate on child victims of sexual abuse. I think most people have the gut feeling and put 2:2 together like but you wouldn’t dare utter it on a public platform, even here. She’s blasting it giving thousands of followers the info they may not have wanted or needed to look for. I hope this gets her canceled. She is very mentally unwell. Very. She doesn’t have 100% of proof it, no way. It still could be someone else either way but you drop it out of respect. Only the family and legal system do at this stage. She must be an addict I have no words for how someone could be so callous! Sorry I had to rant somewhere

What is the backstory about the crystal ball woman? I remember something from a few years ago but not what it was?

She has a disabled child she hates, a husband she uses as a house slave, they both drink but only to excess. She's a plagiarist, a fantasist & a dogshit dumb bitch who makes up complex scenarios based on precisely zero information, publishes what she calls exclusives on stories which appeared in the DM the day before & claims to have multiple inside sources on every reality TV situation.
Primarily those sources are the voices in her head. Though she did speak once or twice to Cousin Amy Duggar before even that pathetic attention ho saw the light. She was also right up Grifty-Ho Blanchard's family's arses till something split up that tawdry band.

But apart from that she's just lovely.

This is what I suspected initially but it could be a relative. I think I posted footage of them on the show in Panama Beach in 2019 and someone else posted some photos of them that year. That one screenshot from Katie Joy about Joe, if you google keywords on it it’s all traced back to Reddit or some other site from a few years back or the last week I think it’s common knowledge and she just gets like manic almost and rehashes information it looks like. Some of what she says is true and believe she does know some inside info, but I’ve seen more shite from her than actual facts. Think she’s burned her bridges in the fundie world. I remember following her years ago when I was into 90day fiance and thought the same. I was on TikTok for 10 minutes today and my algorithm popped up of a local girl who was saying something similar about the psalm in church. Of course we know they gather around and pray on these things, that’s their whole MO, “we’re not sinning, they were tempted by the women, Nike!” That’s what people are saying all over the gossip sites from quick glance, that Joe confessed because he is quite stupid and sheltered. Even on that call with his lawyer, he is so nonchalant. I believe Josh said something like “was someone looking up child p*rn?” when the cops raided his car lot and they didn’t even ask like. They are very uneducated and sheltered, controlled. You’d think Jim Bob would be a step ahead and educate them on common sense legal things, did they learn nothing from Josh? My point is, they fully believe that “confessing” frees them from sin and taught (by Gothard) that these are natural urges. The fact the girls still haven’t f*cked off from that family after what Josh did to them is insane and that can be the only scenario in my opinion. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have confessed here, just that they lack common sense. It would make you think there’s much more that’s happened over the years in the religion. Was their grandfather ever arrested?
