I started off feeling sorry for her when I heard about his arrest. now I just can’t understand her. Is she mentally ill? She seems to have no critical thinking skills at all.

I think thats the way they are brought up in the cult. The dad's make all the decisions for the family, which then passes on to the husbands. The woman are just taught from birth that what the men say goes.

I have to say the people in these religions especially the women seem to live horrendous lives with no choice or say in anything that happens to them and its absolutely covered in secrecy with a lot of horrible stuff going on behind the scenes they are not a good advert for Christianity at all

I remember a friend was at her sisters one holiday and the police arrived to arrest her brother in law for indecent images. The marriage was over. We all learn from our parents how to handle these things, to whatever degree. If your parents have raised you in a cult where women are thought of as nothing more than brood mares, it warps your values. Maybe Anna has already seen this scenario in action, and learned that her place is to be quiet and supportive, and to turn her back to any abuse of her children.

It's essentially just a bunch of creeps passing around their daughters so everyone can have a piece. See the FLDS, watch Keep Sweet, Pray, and Obey. It takes a massive spine and inner strength to break out of this, and not to be completely shitty to Anna, but she seems very soft, mentally.

Reddit continues to be full of the emails. He is absolutely sex obsessed. The emails are just constant, emojis depicting blowjobs, boobs etc and just constant chat about how they have sex all the time and trying to persuade her to send sexy pics. It's honestly like teenagers, not a married couple with loads of kids. Absolutely disgusting to read.

I know this isnt a Gosselin thread but I always used to watch Jon and kate plus 8, even then I thought she was a horrible parent. I didnt realise all that had happened to this poor boy though.

So did I, loved the show when it first started but it wasnt difficult to see through Kate as it went on. Very tempted by this book

I must say I was both completely shocked to read about Joseph, but also then realised this was the Duggars and clearly some messed up shit happened in that house so also not shocked.

There will be one computer in the house. It will be in a public area and the kids will be closely observed whenever they use it to log onto an LBP approved "educational" site.

I think you're giving Anna too much credit. She's as dumb as a box of hammers and kids are sneaky fuckers. She'll be too busy running her puppy farm and they're now living in a huge house with no other Duggars watching their every move. The Duggars will probably give her a wide berth now that those emails have come out.
