How is everyone today? I’m feeling a lot lighter than Weds and looking forward to a chilled night and lie in tomorrow (although no doubt I’ll be awake at 7 because I don’t have to be!). I have linch with my mum on Sunday, which is always tough depending on whether she’s decided to be filtered or not! Hopefully I won’t get the annoying side haha!
I’m so happy to hear you are feeling better today! I hope you have a fantastic weekend and that the lunch goes well! ❤

@Penguin86: I’m glad you managed to get some sleep! Well done! 💕

How are you today @Bitofthebubbly? Hope you are doing a little better than yesterday 💖

I’ve been off my meds for about a week or so and my mood swings are massive! I am very full of myself one minute and super sad and depressed another. Hoping to go back on them this weekend. I am bad with medication but I know this one helps so I need to get my tit together. Happy weekend everyone!

Please do go back on meds if that’s what makes you feel better. You deserve to be happy all of the time lovely 💕

I am a zombie. I think I fell asleep for an hour. I must have smacked myself in the face at some point because my nose was bleeding a little and I lost my nose stud. Great fun trying to put it back in half asleep whilst the cat decided it was time for pets

Oh I’m sorry! Is your nose okay now? Do you think you will be able to nap during the day?

Yeah all ok now. I'm so behind on projects it's annoying but I'm too tired to function today. Tbh my appetite has been low past few days but I have to make myself eat something small so I can take some of my meds

I hope you will be able to resolve the sleep situation Penguin, it sounds frustrating!

I’m a bit...distraught because I’ve been working on my extra qualifications for a year now in order to make a career change, and yesterday I found out that the requirements have been changed yet again without warning and it looks like I don’t qualify. I have been working and studying full time for months, Saturdays and Sundays included, can’t believe it’s all in vain. I am pretty sure it was my dissatisfaction with my career choices that originally made me spiral into depression. I might as well just give up and go with the flow if it does not work out.

I am so sorry to hear that. ❤ Is it a few specific job at a company/organization that you want or can you find similar jobs that would accept what you’ve studied so far?

That sucks, but is there something you can do to make up the qualification? They can’t possibly just change it without giving people a chance to convert. I’ve wanted to change my career for a long time, but am so sucked into the fact that I can never earn as much as I do now that it’s impossible. I was saving to buy a place outright, but after my breakdown and Covid, my savings have depleted by half and I have to just suck it up in order to try and get my savings back. I’m too old to retrain and try and survive on my own now and I never want to rely on a man or anyone else to live. But I feel you, I know this isn’t my life's purpose so it does get me down too!

Last time I tried sleeping pills it took me days to stop feeling drowsy
I’m not a big fan of sleeping pills because they can be very addictive, but there are herbal remedies as well that you could try (as long as they aren’t contraindicated with your antidepressants. I have a very consistent bedtime routine so that my body and brain know its sleep time, but then I live alone so I guess I can, but I swear it really helps. I would definitely say have a power nap mid afternoon if you’re struggling, but no more than an hour as it’s counterproductive at night.

No I’m the opposite. Clutter gives me anxiety. If something is out of place I can’t settle unless I move it or throw it away. Both are symptoms of OCD!
Im terrible! I buy duplicates of stuff but not sure if that's my scatterbrain or my need to spend money for the sake of it. I have one of those massive make up boxes that I'm going through and so far I've counted over 12 eyeliner pencils
