I spend a lot of time scanning forward on all other chateau videos to get past their monologues, and for some reason I can sit through a Stephanie monologue because she is just simply a better host. I'd love it if their new year resolution was to stop with the cadeaux videos and get back to work, even if it's just pink gin and pies.
And then only Isabelle wearing one mask when guests were there. Though lots of viewer commented that to protect Isabelle the others have to wear a mask. They did not get the concept at all.I think it was for me the final nail in the coffin (pardon the insensitive quote) for me when I saw how she was literally paying lip service to mask wearing when going out shopping. Then her lack of social distancing with the guys loading the Xmas tree into the van, not wearing mask in the van with Ian, Ian not wearing mask in the house, then all those people turning up at her house over a few days all together. The whole out of touch with reality in sharp focus & childish, immature behaviour from SJ. Having lost someone to it in the early months & having another friend who is having to learn how to walk again because they are so weak I could punch the lot of them in their shallow, oyster, Fortnum & Mason, Spode little world.

Believe you me, her shooting & editing are basic. If you are judging a once a year holiday video editing effort with someone who is vlogging every week then it is not one and the same thing at all. I'm not an expert but having worked in tv for years I can knock up a basic timeline along the lines of the material she's shot in a day.Come on: she is clearly an owl and not a larch. Can't blame her to get up at noon since I am an owl too. She works late at night instead.
And if you ever edit a family vacation video you know it takes forever to edit and her editing is really good.
Even if you don't always like the content one must admit that she has a lot going in each vlog unlike MP who just lets the camera run while sleeping. She does bring in the hours that's for sure.
I don't need/like the cadeaux videos myself but she does sacrifice time and energy to produce them (also in same quality like her main videos) and to give something back. Anyway she donates the revenues which I probably wouldn't do in her case. Also you can't put a price on creativity.

Whether you like her or not and whether you consider what she is doing to be work or not she stays up till gone three in the morning editing the footage. The constant interacting and talking with people may look jolly but it is emotionally exhausting to sustain. She sleeps in to get her quota of sleep. I am not comparing with a nurse on a night shift by the way. I am an early bird. I get up and start work at 4am and am shattered by 7pm. I rarely socialise in the evening. If I did, I would have to have a nap in the afternoon at the very least. And 24 days of that back to back with one hiccup is bloody hard work whether you like it or not.
