The Chateau Diaries #313 Let them eat porcelain! They have to since the food portions are so miserly!

Not to Stephend, but I have serious doubts about those posts elsewhere about bad experiences at the Jarvis’ homes. If there really was a problem 25-40ish years ago, I hope the family of the residents made complaints to the appropriate authorities then. Random comments now, on a very tiny section of an anonymous online platform decades later don’t really ring true to me. Nothing could possibly come from this, except a possible distraction from something else, but you never know.

I wonder what Stephanie’s Patreon glitch excuse will be?
Honestly, at this point... all I'd want to see is a Patreon member walking up to her and say that she's a bleep-faced lying, deceiving witch and that her barrel nostrilled alopician poodle isn't any better than her and just walk away.... A girl can dream.... ✨

If your precise description didn’t include a sweary word, it’d make a beautiful thread 🧵 title 😂😂

I would think that with all of the mice and rats spotted by eagle eyed tartlets inside the chateau in CD episodes over the years, Stephanie would want Ruby to come inside more often. If not, it’s probably a good idea to not leave the kitchen doors and windows wide open.🤷‍♀️
We have screens on windows and doors here, I can't imagine leaving a door wide.. don't the flies get in when she's cooking? Though I do come from England, we didn't have screens (70s) and I don't remember flies or mosquitoes being a problem.. She's a business though.

@ComtesseRose Thank you for looking after and keeping us on the straight and narrow. 💐🍸🍾
As @Imperious Me said
They provide their own birthday cakes too, otherwise they get a firework in the worlds teeniest lemon meringue.
Ruby sent me this clip of Fanny when a guests birthday cake was produced.

My name doesn’t appear in that top comment list, but totally cool anyway.

@Iolair the gentleman of your desire is RelaxingMaleASMR. And as I am a very generous person:

Here are yours

I still can’t help giggling at those voices. I’d much prefer a French or Italian accent.

Ahh nooo!!! I got 10 seconds in to the doctor... and this is why I've always had a female family doctor.. I ask for female specialists for referrals too but can't always have what I want... I think it stems from the creep I was referred too for my medical to come to Canada... he slapped my bum with his clip board when I was on the scales!!

I live in the Southern US. If we left our door open we’d be covered in mosquitos and flies, not to mention there’d be lizards, snakes, spiders, raccoons, opossums, rats and random dogs and/or cats in our house. Maybe even some bats or birds too. Oh I forgot about foxes, and the occasional bobcat. Maybe an owl. Or an alligator. Sea gulls. Fire ants.

I don’t get leaving the door and windows open.

Attention Philip, as I know you read here, I do love a nice set of dishes, but I think you’re beautiful. Porcelain sets are overshadowed, by your crazy over the top cluttered table scapes. Also you’ve commented on your fake profile is why do people watch? Why are we on this site? Why are we on Reddit? Have you heard of hate watch?
Most high end restaurants ( not that I've been to any) have simple plates, good food and elegant table settings. They have to wash it all so they don't bother with 100 different plate sets, they have clean white ones and therefore match anything. They have one nice bunch of flowers in the middle and the tables are simple so they aren't too hard to set and don't have to faff about finding another light green plate to match the jungle table cloth and green side plates for but the environment is stylish and well thought out. None of which apply here

At this point I'd be happy to see any of the following:
  • some B&B guests pitch up to the dinner table and plunk down bottles of brown & red sauce, a bucket of KFC & a few pizza's on Snorty's paaaarfectly scaped table and honestly tell everyone what a shitbox the shitoo truly is
  • the attic or GS ceiling collapse (but no one injured)
  • Snorty come out of the closet and join RuPaul's Netherlands Drag Queen

Has anyone (particularly @billybudd) ever looked online at the menus of La Moulin de Quatre Saisons in La Fleche (occasionally featured on La Grifferie's vlogs. I've eaten there once and it was an amazing meal. No pretentiousness over the crockery and flatware/cutlery but maybe a bit about the food, much more deserved than Marie's concoctions. 59.90 plus 12.50 for a sharing cheese plate and if you want to fully appreciate the experience 39 euro for three glasses of paired wine. That's the weekend offering, 28.90 for week nights for a slightly simpler menu.

It blows the 75 euro rip off extravaganza out of the water.
Thanks, I'll check it out.
But I'm easy. I think the €13 prix fixe menus at Le Relais du Facteur in Saint Severe, near Lalande, blow Jarvis' griftomat meals out of the water. Local, seasonal, convivial and with a touch of warming Algerian and North African flavas.

Looks delicious, very seasonal, local and with soulful granny cooking, cassolette de mer, matignon of veg, much care on sides, lovely fresh cool starters. It has a lightness, balance and variety I like. Fancy fish cooked simply a la meuniere, which is just about the way I think angels cook the primo goods. I'd kill for some stewed endive or stewed seasonal green vegetables or salmon and melon carpaccio and lemongrass sorbet, yummO. Desserts, seasonal fruit and the restaurant must-have, chocolate -- with again some nice Asian outre-mer touches. Black sesame biscuit, yes pweese -- care expended on sides such a good sign of deliciousness and a clean kitchen.
I must defer to @mrsp67 on pricing, as she's in the game now. And math is not my forte. My impression is beef chuck, cassolette de mer, gain a fois gras and lobster starter for a few more euros, wisely confected.
