Wheee! Bonjour everyone! This is the old Madam No. I was brought in out of the cold by some esteemed Tattlers. Many thanks to Jules and Littlemore Cottage for making this happen. Also, thanks to Madame de Pomanddoodoo for offering a backup code. In case you are not familiar with my new name and avatar, let me introduce you to Hedda Hopper who was THE queen of hollywood gossip in the day. I won't be able to live up to her exacting standards but I hope I get a few zingers in now and then! I have missed participating here for several months. My life just got very complicated with taking care of my husband. I've been keeping up though. Loved all the drama with CB. I got into it once with her myself! Steph and The Handbag Carrier certainly are slipping, what a mess those two are. Dan's catching up and will probably surpass Princess. MPK sounds like he's made yet another comeback, not holding my breath that it will last but good luck to him. FRK, well, what can I say that hasn't already been said. She'll be okay during the nice warm days of summer, but come winter and she'll be right back into the doldrums again. I shall refer to her as The Girl in the Attic. Maria's cooking is as weird as ever, never could figure her out. Pavlina seems to have gotten into the herbal tea bizz, such a strange duck! Support Squirrel appears to be enjoying himself as he thinks he's climbing higher and higher, careful PhiPhi, the higher you go, the further you fall. Mummy and Percy are mummifying nicely. AnneMarie and Nasti are trying to act like grown ups and have finally moved out of the crumbling insane asylum. Nick the Treeman is making a name for himself, more power to the toothless wonder! (I actually do like him). I've noticed that all the BnB guests look like they are from Texas. Never have I seen so many bleached blondes with outdated hairdos from the 80s. So LieLande!

My husband has Covid. Tested positive Monday, after we just got back from a long weekend away just the two of us. I’m fine so far, but he’s been quarantined to our bedroom. I’m stuck sleeping on the couch, which is better than getting sick. So, I don’t really know why, but I guess I was bored and watched my first ever episode of Travels With My Friend. The Murano glass tour was definitely filmed on the 2 hour palazzo party Venice trip. I saw Dan’s old teeth in the beginning and the bandage on Cat’s hand from when she burned herself cooking on that trip. As they were walking through the glass museum at the end, the only thing I could think of was if I was also there at the museum at the same time, I would be like, “Oh my God, those people are such douches, let’s make sure we get ahead of them.” Then I would give them the stink eye as we passed them by.

Fanny SHOULD be worried- there is a growing discontent amongst her followers, as they are starting to question why they are even watching the same recycled content every week, where nothing of actual substance gets accomplished while hundreds of thousands of dollars each year are pouring into her coffers. Meanwhile, Dan (who we suspect is probably camping next to Chateau "Charred-Mont"), has gotten more accomplished in a few months than Fanny has in years on a shoestring budget (his Patreon is picking up, and he's probably getting some funds from YT Ad Sense now that he has more followers.) While he makes questionable safety choices, at least he's out there working hard and to the best of his ability. Fanny's viewers are getting bored- it's like groundhog day- Killip lays the table, Maria makes some wonky concoctions from scraps for guest dinners, the garden, peacocks, Fanny and Killip buy more tat... Meanwhile, at Charred-Mont, the blokes are working hard- progress is made, meats on the grill for lunch, beers on ice, no pink iPhone shoved in one's face... Poor Amaury, he is stuck in his own indentured servant hell right now, and is probably pining away to hang out at Dan's instead with the boys.

I just starting watching this week's CD, and forgive me if it has already been discussed: a gift, addressed to Isabel, contained three tubes of gardener's hand cream, which Isabel seemed chuffed over. Fanny snatched it away, stating, "We should give these to Pavlina, Kirsty and Omberline." Isabel looked crestfallen. The sender obviously sent them for IJ- so what gives Fanny the right to take them away and reappropriate them?!? She is truly a mean and spiteful person- who does this to their mother?

I have to give Dan props- he actually is getting far more accomplished than expected. I will say this much- his mates are hard working and loyal- they are friends for life. Nick the Tree Surgeon is the best friend a person could have, and works tirelessly without complaining- I have never seen anyone maneuver earth-moving equipment so precisely, either. I think Dan is legitimately in love with this building, and really wants to restore it- it is probably the biggest challenge of his life, so kudos to him- he's learning as he goes, and there will be successes and failures- that is how a person learns. I give him props for putting out a vlog each day (even if there is not much content for that day), and he did state he would be taking Father's Day off to spend with the boys. Dan, "I did want to touch on a point that has hit home over the past week is that I am SO happy about how this Chaumont team is coming together, you know, this whole community thing. I think it's really important to me to get hard working people, and I try to set that precedent myself, but I think it's really important to have this network of people that really care about the chateau itself, and not just turning up to do a job, you know. They really, really care about the chateau, the project, and what we're trying to achieve. And I think it's really coming together that way, and I count YOU guys as part of that team as well. Hopefully later on, you know when things are a bit safer, some of you can come and help as well and be part of that team. But, I'm so happy it's coming together and it gives the place a real boost that so many people care about it."
