In addition to the ma Perherick issues with the tour. Brenda had some responsibilities that obviously were not met. Brenda according to Irish law was responsible for holding all deposits in escrow and make a full refund if the trip is cancelled. Brenda holding back a fee is illegal. EU law states that vendors to the organizer can be held liable for the organizer not holding any deposits in escrow, trust or with a bond. The vendors need to verify things are above board. Obviously things were not above board if Brenda is holding back fees. Both EU and Irish law states a full refund. That refund would come from the escrow, trust or bond company. There would be no way for Brenda to take part of these peoples money. All businesses would back out if the tour organizer isn't following the law. It's called protecting your business assets.

Clara is not Ruth because Clara is a native Dutch speaker.
Don’t you know it all...

I can't stop writing about this because SJ really has absolutely no idea about social distancing and isolation. She states that she and Phillip are sitting apart from the rest of the household because they have just returned from visiting another chateau. She looks at the "Peacock" woman sitting at the end of the table (supposedly she's part of the household) so we have to keep apart. Nati then stands right next to the "Peacock" woman. Not a clue. Has she actually read anything about precautions during Covid-19. I am so amazed that someone hasn't come down with it yet. It makes me so mad when other people around the world are being so careful. I guess she's not as intelligent as she likes to think.
It’s way worse. She knows it all but wipes her princess‘ arse with the knowledge, because she’s convinced it’s not for her but for ‘the others’. Covid has made it clear that in order to live safely in this world, you need to be driven by empathy and respect for other peoples needs and sorrows. She will be hit hard for lacking both.

Throw on your favorite knitted scarf from nanna, dust off your Spode and add a splash of Pepto Bismal to the Earl Grey (you’ll thank me later), It’s time for Cadeaux at the Shat-a-loo!

Stephanie would like to remind you that if you watch Cadeaux, that we, the viewers, are complicit in the exploitation of underprivledged, potential fashion students in South Africa for views and ad sense monies. (Well maybe not in so many words, but we’ll get to that later). This has been a service announcement from the High Supreme Ruler of the LaLande Philanthropist’s Society. Back to our regular programming...

We are joined by a new hostage...I mean volunteer, Jenny the Peacock Lady. She‘s there for a couple weeks to help with the gardening. Mummy must have summoned her using the ‘old bat’ signal. Stiffaknee explains why they are sitting so far apart. And guess what, it was because of that all so necessary Bourges trip, you know, the one everyone could have lived without. Does this mean I have to socially distance from my husband every time he goes to work? If so, challenge accepted! Bring on the presents Stephanee! I’m chomping at the bit to see what joy you’ll be filled with today...

Oh wait, we’re not doing that yet? No we are not. Do you remember when I said we are complicit with exploiting young students in SA if you’re a viewer of Cadeaux? Well, you’re about to find out why. Through an, ahem interesting, partnership (one based on lies, flattery, the gifting of thrice worn yellow dress, and cross promotion) between Villian-otti Fashion Institute, and Lalalande ”philanthropists” Isabel, Percy, and Stephie, (and viewers like you), a scholarship has been made using funds from Cadeaux ad sense. Funny, I don’t remember having a say in this, do you? We are introduced to a lovely young applicant, who’s life will be changed if she receives the scholarship. She’s well spoken, loves fashion, and her goal is to achieve her dreams, and would really like to take her grandmother to a buffet for meat if she’s able to be successful, as they have been living off of rice and vegetables. I’ll refer you to the video, if you’d like to watch, that’s when the Pepto Bismal will come in handy...

The lovely applicant, her grandmother, Spero, the teachers, and Percy and Isabel (on Zoom) are all in a room. They make her plead her case to the crowd this time, while recording yet again. Spero gets a surprise call from Scholarship Stephanie and she announces to the girl and her grandmother that she’s the winner. In a golden buzzer moment, confetti shoots out, (you couldn’t make this stuff up!) and her grandmother is awarded a gift voucher to buy some meat. After watching this exploitation for views, from both parties, I had an overwhelming sense of ickiness. Bonus points if you figure out which movie that line is from. When did charity become a play for views? Do you record yourself donating to a food bank? Volunteering at a shelter? Giving a homeless person change or a dollar? Of course not, because you’re not a lunatic! In the world of the YouTubes, nothing is off limits! None of this needed to be recorded, it should have been arranged privately...

After Grandma was being given the voucher for meat, we juxtapose to Nati opening a huge box of food. They flash around a bunch of sweets, all smiles, and giggles as they clutch them to their bosom. I’m feeling sick at how sociopathic this all feels. I’m going to fast forward you through the rest, because you probably feel nauseous too.

More sweets, more scarves, broken St. Joseph statue for the chapel (fixed by Philip), silicone molds of peacocks and hedgehogs. Nati sitting so close to Peacock Lady, she’s practically in her lap. I guess social distancing didn’t apply to Nati, she went MIA in the Bourges Cathedral anyway, so who cares. Nati and Peacock Lady make chocolates in the molds. Tea, biscuits, you know the drill.

Congratulations to the winner. To the rest of the dog and pony show, you can bugger right off! I’ll never watch another Cadeaux again, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me today. I will no longer be complicit in the Villian-otti Fashion Institute Hunger Games, sponsored by Cadeaux at the Chateau.

Now I will escort myself out to wash this filth off me, maybe watch a few cat videos, reruns of The Office and return to my happy place, I suggest you all do the same.
We should all keep watching (without the ads) to keep our outrage going and not let her get away with it. Thanks for the update though, very wel summarised!

There's an expectation of any company or organization official facebook group that things are legal. Was this handled professionally far from it. They would have been better off asking Brenda to verify she was following the law. Because obviously she wasn't. Stephanie jarvis endorsed this tour. Was also a vendor. She was also responsible for verifying it was above board.
The blame here lies with Brenda. The other people involved should have verified it was a legal tour. But the root of the problem is Brenda.

It's not moral to ask what, at all? It's not moral to ask them if they consent to having their interview on YouTube? That was my post. You've lost me.
What I meant is, they just should not publish the interviews at all and thus no need to ask them at all😊😊😔

Yes, this! To get to the root of all this grifting, we must keep digging. But the info is frustratingly well hidden, wonder why...
Older records can be hard to find on the internet. There maybe records on file locally. Those would have to be requested from the local government. There maybe a small fee involved.

This is never going to end is it?
Not unless we keep doing what we’re doing, putting the spotlight on her miserable grabbing claws. She knows we’re on to her. She might think of us as the angry minority still, but at some point we won’t be minor anymore.

I won't continue this because I am becoming increasingly angry at the victim shaming that seems to be going on when the real culprit is SJ.
I find your analysis very accurate and enlightening. I agree with you about the victim shaming, but we all know who is doing that and why.

The victim blaming is a classic narc tactic. They and the flying monkey bergade want people to think it's ok Skankanee is abusing her because she deserves it. Btw if you think someone should be able to just walk away from a situation because you did and you turned out fine. You did not turn out fine.

Forgive me, (seriously, forgive me), but how was the meat voucher presentation any different than a master throwing meat to his dogs? One couldn’t help but have that impression. Villioti said, holding tightly to the voucher for effect, “This is for meat, you must buy meat,” then after giving it to the mother, he said, “Please enjoy the meat.” Stephanie, Isabelle and Percy looked on proudly and approvingly by phone. It was a perverse, racist charade where the young woman and her mother, who were there to be lauded and lifted up, were dehumanized and made to feel that they should be grateful for it.

Chateau viewers paid for this. As for Villioti, he needs nothing less than a punch in the f’ing teeth (figuratively speaking, of course). The world of Stephanie Jarvis is a sick one, indeed.

I was happy to hear (at 15:40) that Stephanie will be paying 100,000 rand a year for her scholarship?
Not a year, it’s a one time thing.

Not just Brenda to blame, but like you said SJ who endorsed and was also a vendor, publicly advertising it in her vlog. She likes to stay out of ervery conflict, operating from te dark. This time, once again, she managed to put out the fire that way by forcing the Petherdicks to back off before things got really out of hand and her involvement came too much into the light.

Why can’t I find any inspection reports on Cransford Hall?
It would be fantastic to get ahold of the inspection reports. I think the business and/or corp name would be needed to track them down. I live in US and have no idea where to locate that info in UK

Victim shaming is not acceptable and also not helpful. But shaming the culprit doesn't help either to prevent that the same situation won't happen again. It takes two to tango imo and you should always ask yourself what was your part in it. If you don't learn from your experience you will find yourself a "victim" soon again. If you blame only the other side and don't see that you let someone cross your borders instead of learning to protect your borders you are bound to make the same mistakes again. But most people are not even aware of their borders let alone know how to protect them.
That's what makes you vulnerable and a victim in the first place.
Ah, the old 'she asked for it' thought process. You haven't learnt anything from watching SJ at work perhaps. An article I read which sums it up nicely.
As sad as it is, there are a number of reasons why people victim-blame. I'll list just a few.

1 - Victims are often gaslighted (psychologically manipulated into wondering if their account of events is wrong) by the abuser, while other people clearly see what is going on. So victims sometimes get blamed for “staying in that situation" -- even though they aren't even fully aware or sure of what's happening to them.

2 - Victims are usually very compassionate, empathetic, forgiving people… They often love others for their potential instead of their actual selves, and frequently forgive the unforgivable in the name of love. Narcs actively seek out these types of people, as anyone less forgiving would immediately discard them for their abuse. So, even once a victim begins to notice red flags, they will dismiss or excuse them (he/she was stressed, he/she didn't mean it that way, he/she loves me but is going through a hard time, etc.) until they are blind to it -- as mentioned in answer #1.

3 - Narcissists are cunning creatures and go to great lengths to paint the victim in a negative light. By the time a relationship is failing or over, the narcissist has usually convinced his/her whole circle of family and friends, most mutual family/friends, AND some of the victim's own family/friends that the victim is a horrible person -- and that the victim he one perpetrating all the negativity. This way, the narcissist has fully abused and dropped the blame into a victim's lap in a tidy package.

Lots of people who wonder “Why does he/she allow this to happen? Why doesn't he/she leave??”… which is victim-blaming, in a sense. I am a smart and very aware person, but it took *ME* getting tricked and trapped before I understood how one could become entrenched in such a dangerous situation.
