I came across Kathy's Flog in France recently, which in turn lead me to Tattle, thank God. Exactly, here we have les cartons du coeur. They don't take leftovers, only packed food (cans, glasses, bags) and look at the expiration date.You give food to the Restos du Coeur (all over the year) or Secours Catholique (when they organise a food campaign) in France. Not to Emmaus.
But you certainly don't give your leftovers of course. These organisations have a list of products / food they accept (mainly dry food).
