Just had an hour long treat of David Tennant being a creepy abductor…a 1hr special! Brilliant! He was so horrible in this that even Chris Deakin lost it with him and put the boot in!

It's mad how you can recognise someone's voice, isn't it! Do you remember DS Max Carter? He had quite a distinctive voice and I always loved it. I remember watching Police Interceptors one day and thinking, I know that voice... Googled it and it was him!

Also does anyone watch EastEnders? Alex Walkinshaw is in it now as Ross and honestly, I feel a bit sad watching him. He was so good as Smithy, and even when he moved over to Casualty/Holby he was still really good as Fletch but in EastEnders he just feels like a bit of a background character. I really wish they'd brought him in as a bigger character and actually given him something decent to work with.

I'm still going back and watching some episodes on U&W even though it's not that long since I saw them. I loved so many of the characters - Gina, Callum, Smithy, Phil, Tony, Reg, Will and more.

I still have a few more from the older series to watch later. If memory serves me correctly, Phil takes off on a bike in pursuit of a criminal, at one point, and he is really cocky about how successful he is, in uniform, in general.

I loved the Kathy storyline's she was really good . Also I always think about the episodes with Jack Banning sleeping with the Mum and Daughter,the Daughter was always in school uniform! I know it was of its time but it really shows how much things have changed on TV

I'm still watching these times. It's currently on the stories where Jo was promoted to sergeant, and is in uniform. I think she is such a great character. She got the team back on side after they were really disgruntled by Callum being suspended. They heard her tearing a strip off Max for criticising them, and they came back onboard with her.

Some good storylines but I really can't stand Max. He is the one character I can't see any redeeming features in at all.

Yes - Sgt Matt Boyden started life as a petty burglar they were tailing, Chris Deakin was originally a landlord of a dodgy pub that Inspector Monroe took down, and Gina Gold was a random local woman that took in petty thieves…

Watching the one last night where Tony was in front of the disciplinary committee because of the car accident.
Melanie Kilburn who later played Laura Bryant was in it as Sandra Conway, (wife of Derek). I knew her voice straightaway.

When I was a kid we didn't really watch the bill as much but my brother had me put on episodes a few years ago so watched more recent ones. I loved Des and Reggie babe.
I do remember the Craig and Luke storyline though from somewhere.

The series I am watching at the mo had DC Eva Sharpe in it. Diane Parish/ Denise in Eastenders. Wonder if she and Jack/ Scott Maslen ever discuss the old days in The Bill.

I'm watching on U&Drama these times. It's at the point where it's been revamped and characters are disappearing like mad, and I miss them all .

Andrew Lancel is hot. That impassive face. I'm pretty sure I'll have mentioned it earlier in the thread, but I used to have a major crush on Rod Skase with his posh boy persona. I think the actor was called Ian Fletcher. So many hotties (and good actors of course) in the Bill.

Took me ages to think of Leon (Dominic Power) as anyone but the evil Cameron from Emmerdale. He was in The Bill first, I think but I must have forgotten about the crossover!

Just watched an episode last night on U&Drama. Smithy being rotten to Luke. Ooh, took a really tragic turn.
I can't summon up interest to watch this particular series constantly. I just pick and choose an odd episode here and there.
