I've just been scrolling through twitter, my god it's full of uneducated people on there slating our nhs. The nhs saved my life when I had my twins, the treatment I got was excellent, I'd even go so far as to say it was like I was receiving private care, both me and my twins were very well looked after, I cannot thank them enough. They also saved the life of son 12 years ago when I had a very complicated birth. I have nothing bad at all to say about them. I'm really appalled by Hollie's comments about the nhs. If she feels that bad, them why doesn't she piss off to another country and stop using the nhs free resources. She's really starting to piss me off and get on my last nerve. Her boy's heart would not still be beating if it wasn't for our nhs. And yes, she emotionally neglected that boy, that's why he did this too himself. My partner was emotionally neglected by his mum as well and it caused him psychological damage, she's a narc as well and won't take responsibility for her actions. People will be surprised at the damage it causes a child when their mum is not emotionally available. I feel for that poor boy I really do.

I think what is worrying is she’s throwing fuel on the anti-NHS fire too. We know they’re struggling, and sometimes they make mistakes but by Jove they do not deserve the venom the army are spewing.

Hollie is as brain dead as her son if she thinks giving him mouth to mouth will bring him back once all the medical interventions stop and the machine is switched off.

Have just read some comments on the echo page, someone has commented ‘ keep rattling that tin’ ( or words to that effect) . Hollie/Lisa is loving the income stream too much to let it slip away.

My nephew sustained a head injury when he was ten. His mum took him to A&E where they refused to X-ray him, and just sent them on their way with a list of symptoms to be alert to. Had they xrayed him they would have spotted the double fractured skull by his temple. For three days he just slept, played, she took him to the GP, was told the same thing. He was okay. Later that night she called the ambulance, he wasn’t acting right. The female paramedic said there was nothing wrong with him, and that my sister in law was overreacting. She said it was unnecessary to take him to hospital. (Later on in court she would admit to lying in the statement she gave police investigating the case. She perjured herself and left the U.K. to live in Australia.)Day three she called me, he was sleeping pretty much non stop now. I said take him back to the doctors. She took him to the emergency clinic, they called his name, he stood up and collapsed. He died right there and then on the floor of the doctors surgery. A brain bleed. A brain bleed that happened because the nhs didn’t bother to xray him, the fracture would have been found, the bleed, maybe, and I don’t know, maybe would have been caught. They kept him on life support for three days. They had to do some invasive things due to his head swelling. But, by the grace of whoever is up there, his mum had already accepted when he hit the floor in the doctors he was already dead. There was no ceremony when they switched off the support. The doctor walked into the room, told them it was happening, he was very sorry, they had declined donating organs, and while they were talking a nurse was switching everything off. She wanted to hold him while they did the switching off. They wouldn’t allow it. The parents were watched 24/7 in the ward by staff, due to suspicion they had maybe caused the fracture. They hadn’t. He was kneed accidentally in the head by a three year old child who jumped off a bouncy castle as he took his socks off. A simple tragic accident. She was awarded 18,000 by a compensation court, the DHSS took 8,000 of it because she was on benefits. C*nts.
The whole thing is horrible from start to finish. Some people acted appalling ly, others were at their very best. Sorts the wheat from the chaff.
God bless little Archie and his family at this terrible time. What a beautiful lad he is, and his family fighting tooth and nail to keep him alive. Do you really think that his parents and family want to be stood in court for hours upon hours and not be standing by his bedside? What ever that family need to do to come to terms with his ordeal is okay with me. Thank God we live in a country and day and age where the death of a child is a rarity and not an accepted fact of life. The loss of a child is an aberration a horror. You never recover from it. You just live with it. And your life is always that little bit mit for it.

I am so sorry about your Nephew but this is totally different. Archie is brain stem dead.The family accepted that there was no chance of recovery,which was read out in court.There is no reason for them to choose to keep taking it to court.Hollie has courted the media and was even been interviewed by Jeremy Kyle,the night before Archie’s treatment was supposed to be withdrawn. He has 24/7 care by nurses,everything is done by machines.He is taking a bed that a child with a chance of recovery could have.

To be fair I don't see what harm an oxygen mask could do in this situation. Pointless but I imagine it would only be on for a matter of minutes and wouldn't prolong (or hasten) things.

I was shocked that they publicly said they’d done that, surely that was a private matter. Just another way to make the hospital look bad I guess….

At this stage in the circus I’m half expecting Nicola Sturgeon to claim that a Scottish Hospice would take Archie because in an independent Scotland all people would be given as long as they like. (Aye Right)

Hollie will remember that Archie is a 1/10 Scottish and will start campaigning to take him there instead.

Maybe rubbing a wee bit whisky on lips would help…well it is “the water of life”

I sincerely hope all the d!cks that are slagging off the NHS pay to receive private treatment instead. Yes they can make mistakes but we would be screwed without it! I also have to thank the NHS for saving my life 12 years ago when I had a traumatic premature birth. My placenta had ruptured at 32 weeks and I was bleeding to death, I was rushed in to deliver my baby and she spent 6 weeks in SCBU, without the precious NHS I and many others wouldnt be here today. They need to get their heads out their arses and be grateful for the healthcare system that we have.

And her talking of giving him oxygen and so on is the equivalent of me saying I'm going to operate on someone - with my vast medical knowledge and experience gleaned from tv.

Not only have I watched all House, twice, I’ve also watched The Good Wife, read all the Cherry Ames books and my Sindy had both a Nurse and Doctor Outfit.

I feel I am over qualified in all aspects.

Yes because after the brain stem test is performed twice by two different, experienced, unrelated doctors (not a gynaecologist as Hollie has said happened ) you get an official time of death even if the life support stays on another day or two while you say your goodbyes or prepare for organ donation. The time is the time the first test was started, at least it was in our case. I wonder when Archie’s official date of death will be as official documents said he ‘died’ sometime in May (can’t remember the date) or will it be whenever this horror show ends?

Sorry to hear about your nephew , but you talk about his family fighting to keep him alive. He’s dead though , he died months ago , his brain is rotting away , it’s shrivelling up to the point it’s shifted and sitting on top of his spine , there is no returning from this. He isn’t physically alive anymore but being kept there through a machine ventilating his lungs
I’m sorry the above all sounds morbid but they need to accept their boy died months ago and let him be buried with dignity now

I’d be amazed a hospice would want to get involved in this chaos.
What happens when they get there ( if he survived the journey) and the hospital staff who will have to accompany him want to remove the transport equipment not long after arrival as agreed. Then it will be: We just want more time. We want to go outside. Archie loved planes he would want a fly over. Archie’s rabbit needs to come… it would be never ending demands.

Someone in court should now say. No more appeals. No more applications. Let this end today. No more.

A hospice may be willing to care for poor Archie but whether they want to take on the rest of the family is another matter - rough as badgers backsides

Ventricular tachycardia. a type of abnormal heart rhythm, or arrhythmia. It occurs when the lower chamber of the heart beats too fast to pump well and the body doesn't receive enough oxygenated blood.

I've just said the same, even private services make mistakes, they nhs do not deserve this drivel and attack on them. How many people attacking them are actually using their services or have kids or other relatives using them? Probably nearly all of them.
