The mum's story around what happened on 7 April has varied several times and not been entirely consistent, I'm sure I saw it somewhere that there were around 11 versions.

They say it's easy to tell a story that's true but difficult to maintain a narrative that isn't. A few folks have also picked up on her body language & behaviour during interviews as being a bit at odds with what is being said.
One has to wonder if maybe had she been male whether the MSM and people in general would have been a bit more suspicious of the numerous versions?

I’m baffled that this woman is an admin on a Facebook group? If my child was in Archie’s position I wouldn’t be anywhere near social media? Very strange woman indeed.

My friend got told to have a bath, on her daily call from the crisis team once. I also enjoy “sit with it” Karen it’s been a year I’ve been sat with it love.
I've jumped forward to answer this. I work for a CMHT. I've heard so many people say that being told to have a cup of tea is unhelpful so i actively avoid that line 😂 anyway my question is, what do you find helpful when you're in crisis? Do skills like TIPP or STOP help? Or grounding techniques like 54321. Genuinely asking. I know that validation of emotions is a huge factor especially for anyone with bpd/eupd but interested to know what people's opinions on helpful skills over the phone are 😊

Sorry to derail. I've lurked on this thread for a while and I think HD is appalling. So glad that there are likeminded people who see through the tit she spews too!

My mum passed away around Christmas just as we went into the second lockdown. I was adamant I didn’t want to see her after she passed. But my brother and other family members wanted her home. Not religious just a family tradition. We couldn’t due to covid. Our funeral directors were amazing. She looked so ill in her final days/weeks that when we all went to see her she just looked so well and peaceful. Like she was sleeping. No mad makeup up hair. Just exactly like my little Mum. I went nearly every day. The funeral was just a basic funeral, but it was lovely that’s how she wanted it. Nothing over the top. Just a shame restrictions were in place. 30 people when you’ve got a big family doesn’t to very far 😂
Sounds like a wonderful funeral director. My husbands parents both lost their lives to covid over Christmas 2020 - MIL 4 days before, FIL 3 days after - and we weren't allowed to be with them. The funeral directors wouldn't let us see them because of covid (though I didn't want to, my husband did), we had to have a specific coffins, had to be buried in their hospital gowns. It was so horrific for our family, and they would have hated it. I often wonder if a different funeral director would have been different. When my mum/ nan (adopted) died in 1999, we were with her when they turned off her life support. It was so peaceful, we held her hands and then realised the pulse had stopped. We left the room while they removed tubes etc and when we went back in, she looked grey. They had put some kind of paper ruffle around her neck and I remember thinking she would have hated it, she didn't like things around her neck. We had her embalmed because my sisters wanted to see her in the Chapel of rest. I never went and I'm glad I didn't because my sisters said it looked nothing like her.

Not sure if it would help you when talking to someone in crisis but I had crippling anxiety due to a bleeping awful childhood and life in general. I was referred for CBT and I learned a technique called rescripting. I know everyones anxiety is different and presents in different ways. Mine used to result in the most awful intrusive images involving death of those I love most and the rescripting was the perfect thing for me. It was hard at first but it gets easier to do. I still have anxiety, it will never go away, but I have more control over it now, rather than the anxiety controlling me x

Nothing helps when you're in genuine "crisis" but the word is grossly overused.

No totally get that. What someone considers being in crisis is totally unique isn't it so could be anywhere from suicidal thoughts to an absolutely crippling panic attack. Some people find skills helpful on the phone, depending on the situation which is the only reason I asked x

I'm sure you do a wonderful job because you sound as though you actually care and want to help people in mental pain. Our local CMHT is just awful though and my son and daughter know that it's just platitude central with minimal effort

Does this read that Hollie was asking for the opportunity to let him ‘turn blue’ so he would breath for himself as she believed he would do? I don’t understand what she’s getting at. Seems a little fixated on this blue thing perhaps?

Truthfully when in that state not a lot will help. Validation is hugely important as you’ve acknowledged. But yes grounding can help distract for a short period. But please don’t say take a bath/walk etc either. Last time they told me that my walk ended up on a 136 in a Police Cell.

When I'm in crisis the last thing I think about or want to do is call someone.

Unfortunately I've cut off many ligatures in my previous work/supported people to remove them some people do develop very bad cyanosis even if their oxygen saturations aren't very low especially in paler people. Archie was pale and blonde so I can imagine it would have been upsetting but the staff would have explained, he would have felt no discomfort. It would have definitely been worse when she found him it's horrible to see so I don't know why she's fixating on when they switched the machine off.

I find it bizarre this whole narrative. “The whole world knows your name”… as a brain dead child who committed suicide and who’s mother wouldn’t let go. And the ‘you fought so hard’ - I mean did he?
What were the photos of blood all over his bed or him wasting away in a nappy? Their way of celebrating a hero?! They are so skewed in what they see, their perception is that he’s a trailblazer in human rights or something.

Hollie’s previous on taking the LEA or council to a tribunal (and winning so obviously did have a case I’ll give her) the compo face story about the eye drops, the claims in the post above about the education system’s corruption… everything is claimed a cover-up, lies or conspiracy theory with Hollie. It’s like these people who think they’re ‘woke’ and not ’sheeple’ because they see ‘what’s really going on’ when the reality is that they’re too stupid to accept fact and reason, they’d rather believe a conspiracy. If it doesn’t go their way the shout ‘lies!’ And listen to the other morons feeding into the bull.
Not to say she didn't have a case, but about 90% of educational tribunal cases go in the parents' favour.

She's not right in the head. I bet the healthcare staff found her very difficult to deal with, cos obviously 'she knows best'. Mind blowing.
