The business plans get weaker every year. Another van and another engineer and apprentice. You would expect Dean to be pitching that to his bank manager, not to Lord Sugar on a national TV programme. Good luck to him but honestly, is this the best we can do?
And he wouldn't have had to give away 50% of the business.

Much more potential in the AC business for profit, & quicker. Expand, keep a good reputation on the domestic side then go into commercial where the real money will be.

However good the pizza is, it's too easily copied by the big boys. She's likely to be successful but still niche, & I doubt it would be anywhere apart from London & surroundings.
Papa John's probably creating a new menu special as we speak

The representative from Papa Johns last night said they were already doing a Tandoori range and it was their best seller.

Anisas pizzas look lovely but they could be replicated easily?

I meant expanding. That Papa John's rep was a certified hater.

I live near Birmingham and the Indian Brewey Company already do Indian on pizzas. Definitely can be easily copied

Sugar has gone into business with someone who said “If you come into the showroom you’ll be MEETED by me.” He even laughed at him for it.
Are these the best entrepreneurs out there? Do they have an education?

I think they need to reformat the last episode, badly - or just remake the entire concept of the show as basically a 'survive 12 weeks and I'll give you some cash for your business'.

It's just become so silly - the idea of coming up with a new logo and video ad and then a light grilling from some experts. They're always bad logos/names, bad videos, and the experts rarely have any question that is really pointed. All the candidates ever say is 'I'm doing XXXX moderately well, I want to make 10 other people do it in 10 new locations and make lots of money'. Great. Airco or pizza, nobody cares at this point. We never hear from them again anyway.

I think it either needs to lean way more into the dragons den style (a bit like the interviews in the previous episode), or simply rebrand the entire show as basically a weekly elimination, scrap even hearing about their business in any detail, and the people with the best business acumen get a cash prize.

I kind of get what you’re saying but the bit in bold would mean the winner will just get some money and their business, if they actually have one, will be totally irrelevant and they’ll just get £200,000 to spend however they like on holiday, cars, new home etc. So pretty much like a standard gameshow format

I really think they should go back to the winner being an actual apprentice rather than getting investment.

I live in the North West and pretty much every pizza takeaway around here offer some variation of 'asian fusion' as a topping, and have for years.

I get you. I think the problem is in its current format, we hear so little about the business (and aside from a few we never hear from them again) that we might as well. The balance is totally gone and for me personally, because we never really learn about the businesses themselves, it almost feels like just a standard gameshow prize.

In a way I think it would be good if the challenges earlier in the show involve their businesses in a way that's more than just 'oh my business is a food one, so I'll be team leader for this food task'.

Is it just me that hated the term “dark kitchen”?
It just makes me think of the dark web. 🙁 It sounds so negative.

Yes, and also, if she didn’t have access to her dads resturant, would she have the business at all? Bit of nepotism there I think…

Yes, this occurred to me too.
She said that the ingredients would be delivered prepped to the dark kitchens.
Where is the prep happening? In her dad's shop I assume.
