I feel for the 3 other people who now have lost their shares in that business, especially his business partner who helped set up the company. That's put Lord Sugar off in the past.
I thought the other guy kept his 25% share and their wives were giving up their 25% each so Lord Sugar got his 50%.
If it hits good profits with investment that 25% might make him more than the 50% he had with his wife.

I should think their wives were shareholders for tax purposes.

My understanding was
The wives had 25 each
Dean and his partner 25 each
Wives give up theirs so Sir Alan gets 50 and guys have 25 each

If that is the case as I can’t remember what was said exactly, I think that’s so hypocritical.

LS sacked someone a couple of series ago because there was another person that had shares in the company they were pitching, I remember him saying something like ‘why would I go into business with someone I don’t know who wasn’t part of the process’. I honestly think that’s Deans personality and LS seeing Dean as a younger version of himself is what swung it in his favour.

Anisa was by far the better candidate, what’s the point in the tasks etc if ultimately it just boils down to your business plan and whether LS personally likes you.

Meh. Pizza that any number of companies can replicate within weeks if it takes off. And her saying she wanted to expand quickly but talking about 10 dark kitchens over the next 5 years in the next breath. I mean you can just rent them, ready made and staffed and ready to just be getting on with delivering your food within weeks, she even said herself she was going to cook the ingredients elsewhere and all the dark kitchen had to do was assemble it and chuck it through a pizza oven. So just get on with it, have 20 up and running by the end of the year if the idea is so great.

The business plans get weaker every year. Another van and another engineer and apprentice. You would expect Dean to be pitching that to his bank manager, not to Lord Sugar on a national TV programme. Good luck to him but honestly, is this the best we can do?

I have to laugh at Karen's instagram pictures. They are SO filtered. She knows we can see her on tv right ?

I wasn’t saying I thought Anisa’s business plan was better than Deans, I can see the viability in his business and the flaws in hers, I was saying I thought she was the better candidate throughout the process ie she performed better on the majority of the tasks.

I just think that do we really need any more pizza firms??

but aircon is something we will definitely need in the near future

boring, but necessary

Much more potential in the AC business for profit, & quicker. Expand, keep a good reputation on the domestic side then go into commercial where the real money will be.

However good the pizza is, it's too easily copied by the big boys. She's likely to be successful but still niche, & I doubt it would be anywhere apart from London & surroundings.

Still enjoy it (especially when we get at least one Rodney! 😄) but the format really needs a major overhaul though.
