Abreviated version

A delivery driver nearly drove into me this morning. I had to stop to prevent it. I was in the right but he started berating me really badly and filming me. The business he delivered to had to make him move his vehicle so I could move mine. I am so embarrased about the whole situation.

Do I complain to his company or write a negative review? Or just leave it alone.
I don’t think a business would really care anout their drivers behaviour imo they might pretend but then do nothing.
Is writing a negative review overkill.
I actually just want some justice for my ego 😂 Can’t tell you guys how embarrassed I am by it. I work on this estate and it caused quite the commotion 🤦🏼‍♀️
Thats horrible. I'm sorry that happened to you .

Personally I would send an email with the license plate number, date and time and details of the incident. I wouldn't write a negative review.

This is a multi-dimensional problem I hope I make it make sense.

I started applying for new jobs. I want to leave my job mainly because I really don't like working for my manager. She is nice enough to me face to face but a really toxic person. We work in a really small team and I feel a bit trapped and stunted in my position, because I have nothing to do most of the time, it is the most boring job ever.

I have been interviewed for 2 jobs, and I have been offered both 😃 Job 1 rang and offered the job on Monday, I accepted and they said they would send me through the information, I am yet to receive anything. Job 2 rang yesterday evening and offered the job, I prefer job 2 so I accepted that too.

My manager is going off on annual leave from tomorrow, for 2.5 weeks. I have put her down as a reference, but she obviously won't be able to give one if she is away, so I have provided a different reference for the 2nd job, explaining that she is away.

I am worrying because I haven't had any formal job offer etc through from either of these companies (both public sector) and I don't know when to hand my notice in. Should you wait for something particular? At what point is it risk free to do so, because I can't afford to have no job.

All day today my current manager has been going on about how this is her first holiday where she won't have to work through it in 4 years. She takes work stuff quite personally. I know this isn't my problem but it makes things worse for me to deal with. I know if I hand my notice in before Friday she is likely to not go on holiday, as she doesn't leave until late Friday (sounds extreme but it is true).

What would you do in this situation?

Might be different in different organisations but my experience is they usually say not to hand in notice at current job until you get a formal offer. You then agree the start date with them based on your notice period. Also my experience with public sector is that it usually takes a while to get formal offers and everything sorted and HR is always slow. I'd wait until you get something in writing from new job

Until you have anything in writing, I would hold fire. Just remember you don't owe your old job anything.

It's good you've got two options too, in case one does end up as no formal offer.

Just sit tight and it'll work out. I'd keep it secret from anyone at work too until you need to give your notice.

Not sure this is the right place. Does anyone have any advice about winding down after work? I just started a new job that’s a 5:30 finish, don’t get home until 6pm sometimes later but by the time I’ve sorted things out for the next day and had tea etc. i’m basically just going to bed ready for the next day. I’m hoping things settle a bit when I’m used to the routine but I have literally cried coming home every evening so far
I guess it would depend on what you preferred to do, is there any hobbies you might like to try, painting, gaming etc? Also is there anyway you could prepare for the week for your work on the weekend, like maybe sort out what you are going wear for the week on the Sunday so you don't have to do it each night an prepare a week's worth of meals so it's just coming in an heating it up?

I find colouring to be relaxing for me with some music on in the backround, maybe you could try some new things an see if there's somthing that you find you enjoy

Am not sure what all you have to organise for next day but if you can then I'd do whatever I could on the Sunday to minimise what I needed to do during the week

Hope it all settles for you an you find a way to relax

Unfortunately there's only limited time in the day, I always feel like chill time after work is so short. But maybe you can try prepping meals so you don't have to spend time cooking and can just eat when you're home? Also trying to organise stuff on weekends, get your clothes, lunches, whatever you need, ready so you need to spend less time prepping it the night before?
I find going for a walk straight after work definitely helps me switch off from work mode but still need to wind down later on.

I met a guy (we game together) anyways talked a lot we switched social media ect. I think I like him a lil bit should I tell him ? Or leave it? I'm not sure glad I like him just know it's more then friends *how

ooh. its going well i take it ? like you are getting along well socially?
Honestly leave it for a bit. not too long of course, you dont want to give off the friend vibe but see where it goes in a week or two .

Hey angels! Does anyone know who this blogger is, or where the dress is from? All I can seem to find on google search are copies of it but want to find the original. I thought someone might know who the blogger in the photo is and I could find it that way.

Thank you💘
I think she's the model for the company, but found it on dollhouse collection, the link is dollhouse-collection.com

Hey lovely! Thanks for getting back to me, unfortunately I think that is a copy and not the original as the photo is low quality and model isn't tagged on their Instagram.

Is it the model herself you are trying to find?

No I'm looking to find the original dress as all I can seem to find are copies of it. I thought someone on here might recognise the model/blogger and I would be able to find the brand via her Instagram. Either that or if anyone knew where the original dress is from.

Thanks💗

is this the same dress? (i love a search, i’m going through the #greendress tag on insta 🤣) the belt is throwing me off but i think the other girl just has it twisted at an angle. the buttons and sleeves definitely look the same, and you get a discount code!

Thanks lovely but I think that's a copy also. I know me too, but the search is harder than I thought:ROFLMAO: I think it must be from a popular brand because Aliexpress etc have copied it and lots of smaller boutiques online, but I just can't find the original.

Thanks so much for your help though guys, much appreciated🙏

Why don't you buy a copy of it? ☺

aw i was hoping it was! it’s so annoying when you see something you really like and just can’t find it - it’s such a distinctive looking dress too. good luck in your searching 🫡
