I was at the Asda, BUT this is my issue. Surely if I’ve hit a car my car would have damage on it? So I’m denying everything to my insurance.

can anyone help with how long these things take to resolve?
My husband drove into the back of a Porsche and his van was a write-off and the Porsche had the tiniest mark on the bumper ours was undrivable .. this was in the 70s 😂

Did you tell your insurer the whole story? that you hit something and believe it to be a post? Or did you just say No I wasnt at that place.. Seems odd they would say not to admit to anything ( normally they only say that at the site of a accident don't admit anything) unless the other person has claimed a number of times and they know of them?

Just made a mistake in work - nothing major and it was easily fixed. I work hard and take pride in my work and I like my job. My boss looked disappointed in me.

I burst into tears in front of the office.

I am mortified and feel pathetic.
Times have been very stressful, go easy on yourself. You will be thinking about it more than they will. Its over move on 💙

I have a silver bracelet from Pandora - nothing fancy it just means a lot to me as it was the first bracelet my partner ever got me years ago. I’ve kept it in good condition until now where I’ve accidentally forgot to take it off when using a harsh chemical spray. Unfortunately the spray has got a few specks on the bracelet and there are now just circular specks all round the bracelet. Is there anything I can do to fix it or make it better or will I just have to suck it up?! 😢

They will come off, don't worry! I did exactly the same with some silver rings recently. I got a mould spray with bleach on them and there were black speckles everywhere. They faded after a few hand washes and showers.

It’s just a reaction and isn’t permanent, silver goes black in the air if you don’t wear it as it oxides. Get a polishing cloth or ever soak it in some washing liquid and warm water and rub dry.

A delivery driver nearly drove into me this morning. I had to stop to prevent it. I was in the right but he started berating me really badly and filming me. The business he delivered to had to make him move his vehicle so I could move mine. I am so embarrased about the whole situation.

Do I complain to his company or write a negative review? Or just leave it alone.
I don’t think a business would really care anout their drivers behaviour imo they might pretend but then do nothing.
Is writing a negative review overkill.
I actually just want some justice for my ego 😂 Can’t tell you guys how embarrassed I am by it. I work on this estate and it caused quite the commotion 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thanks, I didn't know that!

I was just worried as when it happened I instantly washed it in washing up liquid and polished it but nothing was happening. Had a shower last night and most of it disappeared, woke up this morning and it has all disappeared.

Thanks everyone! :)

Hope you're ok, I totally get needing to soothe your ire.

I would leave it a couple days (so not obvious) and write a scathing review under a pseudonym, but that's just me 🤣.

Best advice! Think I’ll do this. Maybe I would’ve calmed down enough to let it go 😁

I had a mechanic collect my car to take to his garage for repair. It broke down on his way back and he dumped it in a permit area text me the street name and left it there. Im disabled as he well knew and I was fuming and upset I wanted to name and shame him everywhere and as the owner/admin of many FB groups it could have felt wonderful but I never did. But I do look to see if anyone is recommending him and will delete that post ;)

Do you get charged for foreign transactions in ROI with a British card? I was last in Dublin 2020 but can't remember for the life of me lol. Just weighing up how many euros to buy. Also how are they on cash there, do they still accept most places? (I know they went a bit Covid mad)

If you card provider charges for transactions outside of the UK then yes.

I'd complain tbh, if he did it to you while you were in the right then who else has he done it too, an company's should really be kept aware of what their drivers are like since its just a bad imagine on their part

If you had had young kids in the car how would you have felt? Would it have left you feeling the same as this? Or instantly complaining?

A taxi almost hit us a while ago, he come through a give way without even looking an almost took the side of the car, I immediately reported him an the company were grateful as they said they didn't want the company name seen in a bad way

I would recommend a monzo card for ROI and euro travel in general

Cash it is then for the most part. I get way too giddy with contactless abroad.
Just seen this, maybe no Monzo 🤣🤣

I don't think they charge because it's the common travel area we usually just draw out from the cashpoints ( depending on what they're offering for sterling )

Yeah with it being a common travel area that's why I wondered
