Does anyone know if I can still use this stamp? I dropped it when getting out of the car, couldn’t find it and then found it about an hour later. It’s a bit soggy at the moment so I was going to let it dry out and then potentially stick it down with tape but I’m not sure what’s allowed 🤣 thank you

Pritstick is a better bet than tape.

Just a quick one.
My daughter hurt her wrist yesterday playing netball. It’s not broken. She can still move it. However, she’s clearly done some damage as she can’t use it much. She can’t hold anything in that hand and it you touch it. Even lightly she winces in pain. I don’t want to waste hospital staff’s time especially as my local hospital is struggling at the moment. But I feel like she should be seen, but also as it’s not broken I’m unsure what they will be able to do?
None of my children have ever had an injury like this and I’m not too sure if I’m being over cautious

It’s probably just sprained or badly bruised.. but if you are concerned do you have a local walk in centre? Some tube grip, rest and pain relief should help.

Rest, ibuprofen gel and pain killers.

My daughter broke her ankle in two places and was walking on it. So its always best to get it seen to and let a DR/nurse decide if it needs a x-ray.

I broke my arm on Xmas day once and my parents didn’t bring me to hospital for four days because I could move it/wasn’t crying lol and they thought it would improve with ice and painkillers. I’d say you’re better off getting it x-rayed! It’s better to know and if it needs to be re-set it needs to be done asap

Some hospitals have a minor injuries unit that you can use instead of A&E - walk in centers have sent us there before so if you know you have one locally the it'll cut out the wait at the walk in!

Oh gosh! I didn’t know you could still move it if it was broken.

I’m going to look now and see if we have a walk in close by. Although, a local town about two or three buses away does have a minor injuries unit

Yes of course you can. Stick it on with tape or glue - anything you’ve got. It will be fine.

Could be fractured, I used to have a ton of fractures, broken, dislocated, splintered, sprained bones with clearly being insanly wild as a kid an sounds maybe like a fracture, you can still move it but it does hurt badly, it's always better to get it xrayed an if it is fractured or sprained etc then they will be able to bind it up for her with the right supports, you don't just get stuff when it's broken, they offer a lot for sprains, fractures, splinters etc with their own type of binds that help support while it's healing

Anyone ever grown trees before? Did you plant them on your own ground or manage to find someplace for them?

I've managed to get 3 going now. Few years old, 2 acorns an a chestnut, however where I now am they aren't going to be able to go in the garden, it's not big enough that the roots won't reach the house

I'd love to have them planted someplace but not sure where they would be allowed or even where to go, be a shame to lose them after all the work to get them going an how they have come on

I had thought I'd be able to keep them but obviously now can't

:( maybe you could plant some kind of Dwarf trees or shrubs? I wish I could think of some better advice. Maybe the people who they will have them next will appreciate and look after them? If I couldn't take mine I would hope that they would be cared for. planted 5 over the last 5 years, mostly fruit trees :) you do get attached to them, seeing them at various stages of growth.
In guessing there's no one who you're close to that would take them?

Not really no, most gardens that everyone has is really small an I know their roots get incredibly long so it's too much a risk with the houses an I wouldn't like to put that on anyone with the house foundations

Tbh I really didnt think I was going manage to grow them, I had tried a few times years earlier for a while an they just never took off so for bored with planting, but these 3 are growing strong, all from what I found laying in a park an just decided one day to try it lol, it's maybe still a while before pots will no longer do but I feel they are ready for permanent homes at this stage as well

It's made me realise I kindi love to plant things an watch then grow now so really it's more my personal feelings that sorta pushing me to find a home for them lol, it would be nice to see them fully grown before I go if I could as well

Contact local schools/hospitals/councils etc to see if they have woodland or gardens etc that would take some new trees?
