Can you take the duvet out of the cover and just use the cover over you? I've done this before in hotels when they have these massive thick duvets in summer. At home, we currently just have a sheet over us as I have to have something covering me too.
As cowie said, can’t you just use a sheet?
I bought 1.5 tog in Dunelm if you have one locally
I sleep with a bedspread or eiderdown in this weather. Dunelm ones are great. Perfect if you want the feeling of something more than a sheet (quilted like a duvet) but don't want the warmth!
We had a 1tog from Dunelm, and it was great, but have since moved to a feather and in a 4.5tog, and I find this better.
I got a 1 tog duvet in Lidl last year, I'm sure it was £10 or less for a double. They are perfect in this weather when you still want the weight of something covering you. I had to put one of my kid's through the wash last week and it came up great, the filling didn't bunch up or anything.
If you specifically booked a room with 'x x room with balcony' would you be happy with a Juliette balcony? Or would you expect one you can walk onto? The description of the room says - Balcony or terrace
I'd expect to be able to step through a door without a long drop beneath me.
Proper balcony! Otherwise it's basically just a door with a barrier in front really.
Technically it is a balcony, I suppose, but very cheeky of them to advertise it as such. I would definitely expect to be able to step out on to it or sit down.
We complained and they agreed it isn't what we booked so going back later when someone higher up is in to get a different room

Could you use them as cleaning products - dusters etc? At least gives them a use.
We also have a Quooker tap (boiling and filtered water). It’s great. The only annoying thing to bear in mind is the additional cost of having to replace the filters every six months or so.
Do you have a place locally that buys old clothes by weight? The one near us takes anything in any condition, apart from branded work uniforms. They sort out the good bits for re-sale, then the stuff that's no good is sent for recycling.
Our local food and clothing bank also collects the no good stuff, takes it to the weigh-in place, and uses the money to buy supplies.
I really want wraps for my lunch next week but everytime I make wraps and try to roll them, the wraps get holes in them or never as tight as they should be. I’ve added less food in the middle to see if that helps - it doesn’t!

I find the reduced large wraps are a bit sturdier for rolling. I actually saw Joie wrap ties in Aldi yesterday, might be worth a go!.
