Does anyone had any ideas or advice for a cat who refuses to wear a collar?! My friend has had her cat for three years, but he’s always been kept inside so she didn’t have a collar on him. She’s now moved to a house with a garden and wants him to be free to roam more but only if he wears a collar. The little devil keeps breaking out of them!
I second this. Cat collars are essentially made to be “lost/broken” because if it get’s caught it can kill them. I wouldn’t worry about him not wearing a collar as lonh as he is chipped

I ordered some shoes on different colours as wasn't sure which I wanted. Sent 2 of 3 pairs back but had an issue with the refund taking a while. Emailed them and they've issued the refund now but I think they've refunded for all 3 pairs do I let them know or just ignore it? They've also sent it in USD not GBP which I found strange but whatever

Don’t tell them. I don’t feel sorry for companies that can’t do their jobs properly. Just think how many people they “steal” from by never refunding

I would ignore it. But then again, I am extremely skint at the moment!

Oh gosh unless it’s something handmade from a small business, I will GLADLY accept any free money a company want to throw my way 🤣 especially if it’s somewhere from which I frequently buy. They make a lot of money from me 🤣

Our last cat never wore one; we only put them on our current two, as they kept sneaking up on each other and beating each other up, so they needed bells. I personally wouldn't have one on them otherwise.

You must have them chipped by law now, so provided she's got that, I don't think it's an issue. You also need to have them on quick release, and it does make it much easier for them to get out of.

I have a problem where Royal Mail have erroneously collected a parcel left on my doorstep that was a delivery for my partner and mistaken it for my return to very.

We don’t even have the same surname so postie clearly didn’t bother to check he had taken the wrong item, we also didn’t know the other package had been delivered as no one knocked the door.

I contacted Royal Mail and they said they would try and intercept the parcel but they haven’t and now it’s been returned to very.

I’ve rung very and explained the situation and that we need the parcel back urgently as it’s for works going on in the house. They said I will have to wait 30 days to see if it gets returned to me, I’ve explained but they won’t budge.

Does anyone know what I can do here? They are effectively withholding my partners property and won’t even try and find it to send back

I feel like I've done the wrong thing, but not sure why. I borrowed a small garden tool from an acquaintance who said to keep the item as they would be able to get another. Well, silly me, returned the item, saying thanks very much for the loan but didn't want them to be left without, so I'm returning it. This happened within the space of a few hours. This was met with a rude, kind of haughty response. I don't know what I did wrong. I thought I was being nice by not putting the other person out.
Would anyone be offended if someone gave you back something that you'd told them to keep?

A guy once broke up with me because I gave back his shirt after I worn it. He thought that I thought that I was too good to wear his crappy shirt. That wasn't true at all. I just thought he wanted his shirt back

Maybe they were all up in their doogooder high and there you are, returning the item. Or they actually want an excuse to buy an upgrade and that fell trough. Or they thought you didn't use it at all. It could have been anything but I don't think it has something to do with you're

Thank you.
How weird of that guy!
They were just gonna get the same item from someone else who gets them free from their work, so no upgrade. I couldn't really understand why I was in the wrong, because they were back in the same situation as they were before I asked to borrow. No better, no worse.
I seem to have these weird interactions quite a lot and I end up think I must be horrible or not reading the room right.

You don’t sound in the least bit horrible but you might be reading reactions wrongly. What did the person actually do or say to make you feel uncomfortable? Maybe they were just having a bad day?

Order the item again from Very, and when the wrongly returned item arrives, return it.

I bought an expensive bag from Very and the day it arrived, the guys reduced it to half price. I ordered the reduced price one and sent the full price one back. It’s a faff but it was worth it.

They have the correct item I’ve returned but they also have a very expensive box of electrical bits belonging to my partner Royal Mail picked up in error as a return, it’s that very are refusing to return

Oh bleeping hell, that’s terrible. So not Very’s property - they have no right not to return it promptly. What have Royal Mail said, apart from failing to intercept the parcel? Time to get really angry and contact higher management for both companies.

i would be going for very in every avenue i could: tag them on twitter, instagram, get their ceo email address, just every possible way.

i know it’s not their fault that royal mail sent it to them but it’s your property (and it’s of significant value!) i googled and a few useful email addresses come up for their higher ups so i would email all of them. i hope you get it back!

Trying to get to speak to someone that isn’t a normal customer service person has been hard. Radio silence from Royal Mail but a manager from Very did ring me today and promised to try and track it down and return it promptly, I’m really hoping she’s true to her word 🤞. Said she would be in touch after the bank holiday to update so watch this space I guess.
