Oh no this is an absolute scam. Your friend needs to immediately cease all communication. I worked in fraud in banking for years. She must not send a penny. I’m so sorry for her as they’re so manipulative and she’s probably smitten. But it’s total fraud.
Thank you, he's absolutely convinced it's all real and he's already sent thousands to him by flipping paypal! 😩

thank you, there's so much nonsense that has gone on but my friend is convinced it's all real and they're going to live happily ever after 😥
It’s amazing how people can be manipulated. I had a case where a man who was a retired bank manager was trying to send thousands to a woman in Russia. We (the bank) were trying to insist that it was “romance fraud” and it would be negligent of us to facilitate. In the end he closed his account to take his banking elsewhere. Some people can’t be helped.

That's terrible. It's frightening how convincing these scammers can be. My friend has had an awful couple of years then along comes this lovely boy who says all the right things at the right time. And then asks for money. Makes my blood boil! 🤬

Ooh, thank you! I'll keep it as brief as possible, basically friend has met a Romanian online and this person has had endless medical disasters (amongst many other things including being 'kidnapped' that all result in him desperately needing money)

He's supposedly had huge medical bills (including £2500 for an ambulance in Bucharest!) and has done a runner 3 times from hospital as he doesn't have insurance. He's claiming he's been arrested and has been told he'll be going to prison for non payment. Please could you ask your friend if this sounds legit? I really don't think it is.. TIA 🙂
She's just read your post and says please tell your friend that a lot of healthcare in Romania is free, and funded by the state. Citizens are encouraged to get insurance. However, if this man can't afford insurance, he will still be looked after medically and wouldn't be charged for an ambulance - the cost of which would be about 400 euros, not the amount he's cited. If he is is need of medical treatment he will receive it, and not have to pay. He certainly wouldn't be arrested and sent to prison. He's a Billy buller, or as my friend says, a mincino.

Thank you so much, I knew it was suspect but your friend has really put my mind at rest so please do thank her ❤

I have done, and I hope your friend is okay and won't send this awful man any more money.

A minor but annoying problem…

5 flies have appeared in my living room. Black ones, not like big buzzy ones. They have been there for 3 days and are all flying/circling in exactly the same spot?! They haven’t moved. What are they, why are they here and how do I get rid of them? 😆 I’m well used to “normal” flies and fruit flies in summer but I’ve never had these and they’re currently in the eyeline of my tv 😅

Thanks, I've just told him and I think that deep down he knows it's all been a scam but this has just confirmed it. I felt awful having to break it to him but it had to be done. I just hope this is the end of it now!

I had a biopsy over 2 weeks ago, wasn't told the timescale of getting the results, the whole appointment was awful, felt a burden as the staff wanted to go home & they had to get everything out again even though I turned up 10 mins early for my appointment, I want to call to see if anything is back but fear they will probably tell me to just wait, but part of me feels it was never sent in the first place as they were in such a rush to finish & get home.

If it helps I had a biopsy two weeks ago too and am also waiting. I was told I’d be sent a letter. It’s tricky, I keep checking the NHS app. If yours was part of the fast track thing it feels weird when it slows down, doesn’t it, after all the flurry, but no news and all that, not my first rodeo. They will have sent it. Sending the vibes.
(In praise of the NHS: I turned up stupid early each day, first a scan then a biopsy, and was seen stupid early each day too. Hardly got to open my book.)

Thank you, yes I keep checking my app also, the whole appointment was so rushed because it was 4pm & the nurse in front of me said the staff will be going home late tonight as they had packed away for the day & weren't made aware of my procedure, one of the tests were scrapped as they made the excuse they couldn't locate the equipment! I was made to feel guilty for having my treatment, I was given zero advice after the appointment ended either, part of me wants to make a complaint but then I think is it really worth it?

Ugh, I’m so sorry that happened to you at a time when things were stressful enough. Just to reassure you that so far the biopsy result timescales seem to tally even though our experiences on the day were different ❤

Aww thank you, I hope they come back soon for both of us & its good news, I'm 99% sure its ok I just want it in writing, I'm anxious to call the department at the hospital because I will most probably be told its not been processed yet & again be made to feel bad for asking about my own health.

If you have a number for the department a call regarding timescales might not be a bad thing. It sounds as though, understandably, you feel anxious waiting but also anxious about contacting, so what the hell! Here’s to good news for you, or at the very least some timescale clarity.

I’ve unintentionally lost a lot of weight through stress. It settled but now I’m losing again. Tbf we are going through a very stressfull time in our lives which should settle in the next month or two.
But what can I try to do not to lose anymore? I know this sounds like a “good” problem especially as I weren’t skinny to start with. But I’m getting worried. Not because I think it’s sinister but just because it’s not natural for me to easily lose weight.
I want to keep the weight but in a healthy manner. So not picking on sweets and cakes etc

I've plucked up the courage to call the department, they haven't written up my notes yet, it will be 3 weeks on Thursday since I went (I didn't realise was that long) the person I spoke to has encouraged me to make a complaint as well regarding the whole appointment, I wasn't asked specific questions either which can be quite dangerous so hopefully they will get back to me about that to. Thank you

I’ve a bridesmaid who got married during covid, so couldn’t do a lot of the wedding planning stuff I’m doing. She’s trying to take over all the stuff I’m doing, it’s an almost daily text of “I know you wanted this, but this looks better. No don’t do that for your wedding. You have to go and visit at least 3 dress shops on this day” I’m finding it exhausting, like I’m losing control, and quite frankly, regretting asking her to be a bridesmaid

Add healthy fats, avocados, olive oil, nuts, seeds, bananas, full large milk to your diet. Buy some protein bars to snack on. Try and eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks, maybe add in a shake.
I hope the stress eases soon.
