just got off my holiday there. my shins didn’t tan AT ALL. i tried everything! suncream, water, tanning oil, tanning butter. i was short of rubbing myself in baby oil. everywhere else got a gorgeous color, including my feet and thighs. just not my fucking shins. anyone have any tips or tricks for my next holiday or even a reason why this happened?

Did you Google lens the picture of your rash?Dr Google seems to think it is probably a perimenopause symptom or a vitamin deficiency. I tend to get heat rash on my chest / neck , this is totally different to that

I have no idea what it is, I'm sorry. But I do know my allergies. If you can miss the money you can go to the drugstore and get an over the counter antihistamine. Red, or alternatively very pale, shins can be a sign of poor circulation. It doesn't seem to quite line up with not tanning but for lack of a better idea... Do you get your blood pressure checked? i think last time i got my blood pressure checked it was normal and that was around the last 2 weeks of may. i don’t think it’s poor circulation cause other than that i have signs of good circulation. i think it’s cause the skin on shins is thicker and produces less melanin. thanks tho!Red, or alternatively very pale, shins can be a sign of poor circulation. Does your dog bark when your neighbours dogs bark? If not can you film your dog when the others are barking?I‘ve just had yet another complaint from a neighbour about one of my dogs barking and she’s sent a video - except it’s not my dog doing most of the barking in the video, it’s actually next door’s.
The same neighbour previously complained about my dog barking early in the morning - totally fair, and we have stopped that by putting her anti-bark collar on when she goes out first thing. But now she’s complaining about her barking at other times. My girl is a terrier so naturally quite barky but we don’t allow her to bark relentlessly in the garden, it will be for less than a minute at most before we stop her and she isn’t in the garden all day anyway.
The other thing is that next door’s dogs are actually more barky and there’s another dog behind us which barks a lot but for some reason, the neighbour is fixated on my dog. I don’t really know what to do. I have told her that it’s mostly the other dogs in the video but I‘m a bit annoyed. I would understand it if my dog was out there barking all day long, but she really, really isn’t. The complaining neighbour suffers from insomnia and I suspect she’s not sleeping with the heat and is possibly more touchy than normal. I don’t want to fall out with her but I’m starting to feel a bit unfairly got at.

The ironic thing is that the complainer's son smokes weed in their garden which drifts across all our gardens and is really unpleasant so I asked them nicely to ask him to go the other end of the garden but he still does it. Perhaps I should complain about that again!

I would video your dog being quiet while the other neighbour’s dog is barking and send her that. Also recommend Aldi’s own Sleepytime teabags for her insomnia, they are a godsend.
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but the police don't actually bat an eyelid to weed. I knew this already but the other day a person gave my address as their details so they turn up at mine. Many of my neighbours smoke it like it's going out of fashion, the police had a friendly conversation with them so don't hold out much hope with the dibbleYes, I think I will do that.
It's not your fault he hasn't done due diligence before getting the puppy, he should have checked with his roommate, made sure the puppy could be trained and socialised enough to live in shared accommodation. You've done your best but your health and life clearly isn't suitable for a dog, time to rehome the puppy. He deserves a home where his needs are met and you deserve peace. If your friend wanted the dog this badly he could have moved and taken the pup with him. He just wants visiting rights without the responsibility. Sadly the dog issue may have showed his true colours. My friend got a labrador puppy back in October, we have been friends for 15 years. He had the dog about 3 months before he was told the dog was unable to continue living in his current accommodation. The landlord basically said the dog goes or they both go due to neighbours complaining about barking and his roommate was allergic to him. In January, he talked me into taking the dog. I find it very difficult to say no or put myself first because I am a people pleaser due to autism. I have struggled since day one. I thought I would manage because so many people say how amazing dogs are and how they couldn't be without them. I only heard positive things. I have tried and tried, spent hundreds of pounds on training but he is so energetic and I am so stressed. I cannot do anything, I can't sit down to have a meal, I can't read to my toddler, I can't play with my toddler, leaving the house is an army mission. I am shattered, stressed and really not enjoying this at all. He is now 11 months old, absolutely gorgeous but way too much work and I am not coping. I have had three heart attacks (I'm only 35) with the most recent in may this year and have been diagnosed with angina so the constant high blood pressure from the stress is making me ill. He has hurt my 2yo a couple of times stealing food from her and knocking her over, never intentional hurt but hurt all the same. It's got to the point where I have told my friend that I can't do it and he needs to be rehomed with someone who can give him everything he needs. I am too ill to manage this. Friend has gone ballistic, blocked me on everything and won't speak to me. He is angry with me for not coping and is furious that "his dog" needs to go. He can't take him back because of his circumstances so I have suggested a rescue which got me blocked.
Am I being a dick? I have tried for 6 months and all it's done is stress me out and upset me. I cry most days because I don't know what to do. I'm not a monster, just not a dog person and the kids are miserable too.
