A tick you would see little legs poking out at the point of entry  - could it be a bug / spider bite?

Thanks for replying, I really hope it’s a bite from something else, the thought of half a tick under my skin makes me want to dramatically rush to A&E 🤣

Entitled to sick pay at work. Had a day off done what I’m meant too called in etc valid reason. Haven’t been paid my sick day. 💔 not the first time they’ve messed up pay… it’s so draining and app no HR we can talk too
Are you sure you're intitled to sick pay? I've worked many jobs where the first sick day has no pay out. It should be stated in your contract.

Is anyone trying to sell a house? Is the market just rubbish at the moment?
Been on 5 weeks, had 5 viewings in the first week and then nothing since.
I've been told that a lot of landlords are selling up right now, due to changes in legislation, and as a result the market has got very slow. Hopefully it will all sort itself out soon. I think larger properties in particular are proving very slow to move though. Sorry!

Hi all, hope it’s ok to post.. I thought I’d caught myself on a rose thorn while gardening last night but it’s still sore and a bit itchy, I’m wondering if it’s a tick. What do you guys think?View attachment 3583328
If it’s a thorn or even a bit of tick, get some magnesium sulphate paste from the chemist. Paste some on with a cotton bud and cover with a plaster. It’ll draw out whatever is in there.

Will be soon and have been looking since Jan. Out of curiosity, are you in walking distance to a train station? I have found houses with good transport links tend to sell, whereas ones 1.5 miles or more from a station just stick.
Have you had any feedback from the viewings?

Looks like a tick to me. I usually get them once a year about this time of year! You can remove them yourself with a cat/dog plastic tick remover. Usually totally harmless in the UK, but just watch out for any red swelling over the next few days (if this happens go to a and e!)

Thanks all I used tweezers on it because I was convinced it was a left over piece of tick but it was a blood blister, nothing inside. Still really sore but I’ll keep an eye on it.

Just to be aware, my husband cut his arm on brambles and ended up getting cellulitis. I don't think that's what you have but just keep an eye on it and if it swells or the area surrounding the cut gets redder and spreads you will probably need to get it checked out.

We're semi rural so I'm not sure being that close to a train station would help. We're a 5min drive from a main trainline into the city which most commuters round here use.

The feedback has been things like not right for them, nothing specific.
Had a viewing on Friday that seemed fairly positive so we'll see on Monday if the estate agent can get any feedback.

I've tested it out, I've a lot of hair and it's straight and wasn't impressed with it, tbh, the curls fell out very fast and the blow-dry round brush attachment didn't do anything for me.

I’m new to this thread but it’s the only advice one I could find.

I’ve just found out that a guy that would randomly message me asking me to meet him, go for drinks, stay in a hotel etc, has a gf/wife. I never really replied to him or met him but I feel awful. He posted photos of him and his partner and I decided to have a look at her profile and seen that they had been together for at least two years in which time I had spoken to him.

He had originally told me he was single otherwise I would never have entertained his messages.

I then messaged him asking if he had a partner this whole time and he blocked me instantly. I got screenshots of our messages so I have proof.

Part of me wants to tell her because I would want to know if I was her but I also don’t want to be “that person”

What would you do?

I would let her know. As awful as it might be I’d want to know if Mr Lolz were entertaining other women

Thank you. I’ve had women message me before asking if I had been speaking to the partners and I’ve always told them the truth (I promise I was told by all these people that they’re single and I always keep the evidence) but I’ve never had to go to someone and tell them

Hi. I'm not only a complete stranger to you, @Loppylou89 , but to this thread.

I wouldn't tell the "partner". Not your problem. Block him.

This has happened before, you say? I'd consider fine tuning your radar, and working out why you "keep the evidence" ready for when these women message you.

Please, "I always keep the evidence", I think this random problem may be 📞 from inside the house.
