Bought a bargain blazer from Vinted which turned out to have marks on it, it’s one of those polyester/shell mix lining jobbies, should I risk it and fling it in the machine?
I dunno, I'm really wary about washing stuff like that. I think I'd bite the bullet and take it to the dry cleaner.

Can you tell what the marks are?
I’d try spot treating with a sponge first or a hand wash but use the washing machine to spin it.

I’ve realised that my driving licence has expired and as I forgot to change the address I haven’t had any reminders. Does anyone know exactly how much trouble I’m going to be in for this? Is it a renew and update my address now or a pay £1k and resit test situation? It’s been 6 months 🤦‍♀️

I need to know this too.
I have applied for my renewal. I will let you know if no one answers first!

If you get caught with the wrong address or expired it’s trouble, but since you’ve realised yourself I’d just put in for a renewal.
You could call the DVLA though and check it all out without providing your name.

Thank you! I don’t want the authorities onto me 😂. I’ll update - hopefully not from prison…

On Sunday the person who committed crime informed me (bearing in mind no police officer has formally told me it’s been dropped - just the survey people) they’re suing the police for their unjust treatment and determined to get justice because of the “disgusting way they were treated” and going to paper.

I’m devastated.

Today police put up a “zero tolerance” poster for the crimes on their social media, along with another copy of the “victims code” it’s taken everything to post here instead of there, am very upset.

I’ve tried to write a complaint but have no idea how to word it because my mental health is spiralling, I tried doing a simple request to police email but the response was “this account is to report crime only”. Their website no longer works on my device. I can’t access any support because they’re an army veteran and priority for support from mental health, advocacy services, gp and social services.

Can you attend the Police station where you reported this in person and ask for reasons why that it has been dropped? It sounds horrific for you.

The look like water marks from someone trying to clean it, ironically 🤣🤣

Oh dear 😂
At least they’re not greasy marks though. Unless it was really expensive so worth the dry cleaning fee, in this weather I’d definitely hand wash or cold fast machine wash, machine spin and hang it out on a thick hanger.

Becca - your GP should still provide you with professional confidential support, whether this person goes to your surgery or not. All those services listed should help you even if the other person is seeking support too.

Do you have any mental health contacts? Can you try women’s aid? They may be able to support you in dealing with the police

These may be useful links:

Sorry it is such a hard time and they are not being more helpful ❤

depends on whether it’s just the photo or your entitlement that’s expired - the date of your actual driving validity will be on the back of the card and if that’s still valid then you’re okay driving wise :) the photo just needs to be updated every 10 years.

A random long shot

Does anyone own a Vauxhall Adam or a Toyota Aygo?

There's are the two I have my eye on, looking for pros/cons of them, are you happy with them, are they good cost wise, how are they with visibility vision (my last car was a Ford Ka convertible an when the roof was up it was incredible restricted seeing out the back) what are they like with hills? my work has a god awful corner hill going up to it

Also had my eye on the little VW beetles but they have discontinued those an I'd rather not have another discontinued car, just looking for something kinda small
I've got a 1.2l 2009 vauxhall astra and it does struggle with hills. I know not the exact car you're asking about so ignore me if not helpful. It's reliable though, got it as a cheap runaround and it's coming up to it's 3rd year with me.

Thanks, honestly I was kindi drawn to the Adam or Aygo but really I can be open to other cars, had looked at the little smart cars too but every time I see them I feel like they are ready to tip over at every round a bout 😅

Am just really looking for small, but not a mini, never really got round to liking the minis

I love the Hyundai i10 or (my current car) i20. They go for miles in town on a teaspoon of petrol, you can park anywhere, and if you get a 1.2L model, you'll get up hills no problem...you won't be the fastest, but you'll be faster than a bus!
They're reliable, cheap and fun to drive. I had my i10 for almost 8 years and it never let me down, it was 15 years old when I got rid (steering issue which would have cost more than it was worth), I still miss it! 😭

The GP said they can’t support me as well, likewise mental health team and social services. He doesn’t need to wait, because of a nhs wales scheme for veterans (it’s not called that but something else!) however, I must wait and it’ll be months, end of year most likely. NHS111 option 2 was useless as I’ve physical needs so refused to support me. All I was offered was mindfulness (in group with him and other men) and social group again with him and, in a pub - neither of which is appropriate.

I will look into whatever women’s aid is called here now there was some political falling out so they aren't part of them anymore ( same happened with victims support but I’d need to take calls where I live to have support from them as they aren’t based in this county and that’s not appropriate).

I look to see equivalent help for complaints for wales.

Thanks for the help.

@becca7721 that’s outrageous! Can you change GP surgery? I do know that is not always easy to do.

I’ve pulled up the Welsh versions for you. Sorry I can’t offer more help. It sounds really tough.

Here is the Welsh version:

Unfortunately a lot of GP surgeries have closed locally in recent years. There’s no other I can get to.

Silvercloud rejected me as I’ve severe depression, which yes means I should have access to other help but it didn’t help, there’s a huge push to get people to rely upon third sector like mind, who here do a cafe day a week and a pub day, neither of which are appropriate, or affordable, for me.

Thankyou!

That's good to know, honestly I should probably be looking at petrol with them as well, my last guzzled it like there was no tomorrow lol, cost me a fortune to keep filling it

Does anyone know how accurate the quotes are on price comparison websites for gas and electric? Octopus quoted me (on their website) about £100 a month. Every other provider is half that. I pay £85 per month now for a flat double the size.
