It sounds like you're a wonderful person with a very fulfilled life and lots to offer. I know nothing can replace the connection of another person to share it with right now but you are so well placed if you do meet someone it's because you want to, not need to given your ability to thrive as a single person, the foundations are there for it too be really healthy.
Sometimes being so capable on your own means people think you're not looking, have you actively been looking? I think you have to really make it known rather than just being in the right place and available. Have you joined any dating apps or told friends?
Thank you for your lovely words. I have spoken with others about how I am feeling but they have all found their SO so I don’t think they really ‘get it’ and they don’t want to go out because they live their own lives. It’s so hard to explain what I’m feeling. It’s pure emptiness and loneliness. Sometimes I think what’s the point in being here, nobody would care or even notice. I’ve pondered that thought a lot over the last few months.

I’m sorry you’re feeling that way. As you have a son who would miss his mother I’m concerned if you’re not recognising if you’re having a bit of a MH misfire rather than it being simple loneliness.
I’m not saying it’s the case here but sometimes we tell ourselves “if only xyz, then I’d feel better, it’s just that” instead of looking at the big picture and accepting we’re not coping so well in general.
When we’re feeling empty we can clutch at things that we think would give a big hit of emotion but if we don’t address the underlying issue, it mightn’t work.
Is there a professional you can speak to, to help you arrange your thoughts? Or perhaps speak to the GP about feeling numb (I think you’re saying that’s how you feel).
If it’s loneliness and purpose, hell, you could get a dog! But if it’s a feeling of being alone in a room full of people, that’s a different story imo.
I’m no MH professional so I apologise if im missing or overstepping the mark. I’ve had some therapy for my own thoughts though and it’s helped me to recognise normal levels of self doubt, detachment etc and when it’s informed by previous experiences and more serious. I’d recommend it if you can.

I’m going to see the GP tomorrow I think you are right. Everything feels too much.

Thanks to the Tattlers who recommended the fast 800 calorie counting. And a special shoutout to @littlepup for the menu.
In a week I’ve lost 2kg! And that includes going for a Turkish on Sunday which meant I wrote that day off.
This is supposed to be just a quick fix but it’s made me realise how out of hand my snacking has become!

I’ve always had a pretty healthy balanced diet but since I’ve restricted my calories to 800-1000 per day I’ve seen how much crap I snack on.
Going forward this is something I will address :m :m

I’ve been trying to eat more salad and smaller portions and I have lost 4lb. However as I can lose 10lb of water overnight it remains to be seen if it is actual loss or not!

A random long shot

Does anyone own a Vauxhall Adam or a Toyota Aygo?

There's are the two I have my eye on, looking for pros/cons of them, are you happy with them, are they good cost wise, how are they with visibility vision (my last car was a Ford Ka convertible an when the roof was up it was incredible restricted seeing out the back) what are they like with hills? my work has a god awful corner hill going up to it

Also had my eye on the little VW beetles but they have discontinued those an I'd rather not have another discontinued car, just looking for something kinda small

Well done! I know we shouldn’t always applaud weight loss and all that but well done for having a goal and sticking to what you need to do to get it done! And if it kickstarts more healthy habits all the better 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I’ve not had these specific models but Vauxhall and Toyata are vehicles that me and my family have driven through the years and imo you can’t go wrong with either.
In terms of the hill I can’t answer

Thanks, I'd like to imagine modern cars these days can handle them, I just always think back to my parents car they had that used to roll back down the hill going to Scarborough because it couldn't handle it 🫣

We should definitely applaud healthy weightloss! Honestly I’m the biggest I’ve ever been, which is probably why the weight is coming off easy.
I don’t mind being slightly overweight as that is where my body feels the most comfortable.
But I’ve been saying to Mr Lolz I feel so uncomfortable in my body because I’m a good 15kg over where I should be. I just didn’t feel good. I didn’t know how to dress myself and my energy levels have been rit.
But after this week I saw how bad the snacking was, not healthy all crisps and chocolate etc Nippin this in the bud as I never used to do it

I had a 1.4l ford years ago that struggled with a hill coming back from work. If I didn’t get a good run up to it I would be doing like 5mph once I reached the top 😂 It was so embarrassing when you had traffic building up behind you. I used to rock back and forth like that would make it go faster 😂

I have an Aygo and if you're looking for a decent car I can recommend. It's not got the most PS (at least mine doesn't) and is pretty lame when it comes to hilly or steep roads, especially compared to my old Fiat Panda which, despite lower PS was a mountain goat tbh. If it has aircon and you're using it, it will pull power from the engine, so increasing your speed will be a bit harder. But it's very comfortable to drive, repair costs are pretty minimal. new tyres are also affordable. I drove it all the way to spain (2000 km each way) and it worked a treat, doesn't use too much petrol either.

I’ll be honest years ago I had an Aygo as a hire car, it was gutless.

So I work in an office with no choice to WFH as there's some physical aspects. But 90% of the time I'm sat on my PC, bored out of my mind endlessly scrolling tattle 🤣

Is there anything I can do on my PC, without the need of headphones, to be productive? My screen is obscured from the rest of the office so could realistically do anything. I just feel like I should be doing something with my time that gives me more value...

I've done some Duolingo but not being able to do the listening/speaking aspects feels like cheating.

As above, online courses or reading

Any experiences of the minipill? I'm a pack and a half in and I've been bleeding for 3 weeks. Part of which was an actual period, rather than side effect bleeding . I'm sure another period is on it's way as I'm in a foul mood.

Should I preserve in case it miraculously improves or just Jack it in now? Apart from the contraceptive aspect , I think I preferred it before I took it .

I bled almost constantly/unpredictably for at least 3 months. They kept saying it’d calm down and eventually did but was still not perfect.
Sort of defeated the object!
I tried a few different brands and some were better than others but it took convincing as they kept saying they are basically all the same.
Id speak to the doc if it continues.

You can read books on Amazon via the Web UI for Kindle.
You could earn some money with surveys or stuff (https://old.reddit.com/r/beermoney/ has quite a few resources).
If you're good with grammar or other stuff, you could do some work on Fiverr or other platforms (there's author specific platforms as well) to be a proof reader.
If you speak a second language, you could do translations.
If you want to get into investing, also something you could do from your computer.
Writing a novel, creating a blog, learning graphic design, ...

Just, please, be aware that your company might be monitoring your internet traffic. Not a given but they could. Depends on what your security policy says, or even your work contract.
Also please be aware that some companies have a clause in their work contracts that anything created on a work computer and / or during working hours, they might retain the intellectual property of. Just to make sure you're not going to get into hot water there.

I’d try a different pill. I was on cerazette and bled constantly and was sick, switched to rigevidon and 0 side effects. Recently due to migraines I was made to switch to noriday and again no side effects I think it affects everyone differently and it’s about finding the pill for you. But if you preferred it before then you have the option to come off it completely if you wish. Hope the bleeding stops soon its horrible when it seems never ending x
