Does she think because she beat one old bloke, it's ok for women to have to play against men?

I’m trying to make the most of having Sky Tennis and watching more than the slams and this was amazing

Also Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the US Open due to injury

I saw Jack was crying during his match yesterday. I think after being broken. I didn't see the match, but it's got to be so hard for him on this road to recovery. All that emotion must have been building up as I've never seen him that emotional before.

I really feel for him. I hope he can get back to a good level again. It's not a great sign at the moment, but at least it was positive he managed to get on the court and play a full match yesterday, so that's something.

It's heartbreaking. He must feel like time and his chances are slipping away from him.

Carlos has pulled out of another tournament but at least the hair is back to normal

This sums it all up

Arthur Fery had the same injury and took a year out, as did another player (Jake Fearnley?) that's what Jack needs to do, bone bruising doesn't get better by continually carrying out the motions that caused it in the 1st place. I don't know who is advising these players medically but they need to be fired (Andy wasn't there)
IMO Jack needs to lay his racket down for 6 months, allow his arm to recover then start training with a view to returning for the grass court season.
Because he keeps trying to play his PR will now be in the mid 100's, if he keeps trying to play and having to retire, he won't have a ranking to use as a PR.

I saw Jack jn an interview saying that his injury is very complex and having time out and resting it doesn’t work (he said he tried that) and it isn’t as easy as solely resting. But like you say, surely bone bruising needs complete and utter rest without putting load on it? If you don’t give that part of the body time to heal, it can develop into a stress fracture - which is what Emma Radacanu now has. I’m very interested to know what type of bone bruising is so complex it doesn’t require a lot of time to rest and heal? 🤔

I haven't had a bone bruise, but I've had an extension injury that hurt my elbow/bicep. It would flare up whenever I was doing a weighted excercise that required me to extend my arm.

I had to rest it for at least 2 weeks for it to settle down, but if i started up again it may be fine for a while then if i worked it a bit more than i should, it would flare up again.

It could be similar in that every time he starts playing to a high level again and stressing it, it reacts and hurts again. If so, that must be so frustrating. It was for me and I'm not an athlete.

Wow, that’s some comeback! I’m chuffed for Cam, but it’s not going to help Alex’s recent mindset much.

I walked past a bar where this was on & meant to watch it when I got home but totally forgot🤦🏻‍♀️
cam was a set down when I went to bed so assumed it would be an easy Alex win so was surprised to see this. Cam is such a fighter and I think they said he’d be British number one if he’d won this match
